My Canon does the same thing. Think you have a perfect exposure and the blinkies go wonky. I tend to go to the dark side because I hate blowing highlights. This is an awesome photo. Love that sky. The colors are intense and very earthy. Like it, very much!! |

Very cool work! You always come up with the neatest uses for certain tools. Never would have thought to use the Twirl filter. Like how you created two flowers and i would maybe use more vibrance on the flowers. There is a bit of pink in the lower right that I think I would clone out but overall, very impressed!! Great job! |

The umbrella is great! It provides a touch of whimsy to the old fountain. Agree with cropping some of the top. Would hate to lose greenery on the walls but do feel there may be too much space on the left and perhaps the right. Wonder if you could use content aware move to bring the greenery into the crop. Don't know if you have it in your software. Cool photo! |

This should be a cover shot for something like a magazine or album. Very nice job on putting together the composite! |

Hope things improve for you and your wife. I like the photos with the flags, the ones with the engravings could use a little help but as you said it sums up you feelings. Think it is very appropriate for November's submission of Veteran's Day. |

I use Topaz Studio on almost every photo I work. There is a photographer who is named Rad Drew who uses TS for his IR workflow and I tried some of his suggestions. Because I use Topaz as a plug-in, I don't know the exact adjustments BUT I do typically use Precision Contrast, Precision Detail and Radiance for IR. You have to find tweak the Radiance carefully or it will put strange stuffin your photo. I tweak all my adjustments and apply them very lightly so the don't overwhelm. In Nik, I use a couple of sliders in Silver Efex to get the impact I'm looking for, LR and PS are just for basics. I think Topaz has the biggest impact. Hope this helps, if you use TS, I would be happy to share my recipes. |

I think I have one the is a bit closer in and shows the oaks from a closer perspective. I "think" I used a preset a came up with after watching Rad Drew process his IR. I utilized "the Radiance" adjustment in Topaz Studio. I can't remember if I softened it with a bit of diffusion blur or not. You have to watch "Radiance" because it will create some artifacts. |

Thanks, I frequently go and photograph these trees and house from different views. I think of these oaks as three sisters and enjoy my visits with them. |

How cute! The girls are adorable but I do find the background distracts from them. While I'm not a big fan of photographing people in IR, it does make for an interesting photo. I would try some of the above mentioned techniques and see what shakes out.

I love this, there is a very cheerful vibe. The trees and small plants are just so sweet. I have read some of the other comments and while they could be done, I think this is a very pleasant and happy photo! |

I think I might do little dodge and burn to tone the brights and open the shadows. I do like the depth of field you shot with as it render a lot of detail. It is such a stark place. Even though the sky is blank, I think it helps to balance the photo. Good job!

I think your crop is just perfect and the sepia treatment just helps to set this so beautifully. The photograph itselflloks to be so welcoming, would love to sit there. Can you tone the outter edge of the frame, it is rather stark. overall quite lovely!!

Agree with the distortion comment. LR can sometimes be used with great success to handle this situation. Love how the colums frame the dome in the background. Would like to seethe shadows inthe domed areaopened up a bit to see more f what is back there. Pretty cool place!! |

I think I like your second version that you cropped. Beautiful scene, might consider toning the brightest of the whites down in the foliage. Didn't really notice the sign but now that I do, can't unsee it. Overall, I like it very much!! |
