9 Jun 17 Reply I chose to photograph him straight on as he was staring directly at me. I felt if he was in any other position then he would not have the same intensity. I didn't crop this photo at all and personally, I think it would weaken the photo.

9 Jun 17 Reply Those branches are from one of my citrus trees. It was the first plant I planted when I moved back to FL. It provides all the little birds a place to perch when they come to visit. I'm glad you like them! Jun 23rd
9 Jun 17 Reply You are very kind to say that. He is quite the character and it is so nice to have him make it easy for me to photograph birds.

9 Jun 17 Comment Love the bridge, buildings, colors, sky and reflections. Agree about removing the top left tree branches. Would be really cool to see the bridge being opened! Jun 21st
9 Jun 17 Comment The processing is very interesting and I love your experiments. I do prefer the original over the processed one though. I look at the little girl in the original and want to know her story. She looks cold to me and I try to make up a story about her. The process version doesn't evoke the same reaction. I look at the processing and all I think is it is interesting. I do appreciate you supplying instructions on how you did this. Jun 21st
9 Jun 17 Comment Beautiful!!! The colors and light are just outstanding. The detail is quite lovely, too! Hope you will post more from your tour. Excellent job on processing! Jun 21st
9 Jun 17 Comment I like this, I like the flower and the flower bud. I would remove the spent(?) bud on the left edge and clean up the leftmost petal on the flower. Love the droplets!! Jun 21st
9 Jun 17 Comment It took me a minute to really understand what I was seeing because I would never have thought of this, lol! Really cool photo. Agree about toning down the blue a bit and you probably crop a little of the top. Good eye Jesse and agree with your comment about comments. I am always amazed a what I miss until someone writes a comment. Jun 21st
9 Jun 17 Comment I like the color version better than the B&W you posted back in Dec. The only thing I might try is either blurring or removing the person who is on the left edge of the right picture. There is just a piece of him so it might be an easy thing to do. Love the colors. Great job freezing the action.

9 Jun 17 Reply You could camp in my backyard but you might be more comfortable in the guest room, lol! If you you ever want to come up to my area, let me know. There are lots of birds in St Augustine (Alligator Farm rookery) and the least terns are nesting where I do bird stewarding. We also have our first confirmed Black Skimmers on a nest with two eggs!!
Thought about lightening his eyes but since he is looking straight on, it would not really bring out any color (his eyes are brown) plus since he is in the shade, his eyes are dilated. He came up on the porch yesterday!!! Wonder what's on his beak? Didn't notice it!
