Thanks Jesse. I didn't dare crop any more as I'm betting that I had less than 10% of the original photo left. I bought a Tamron lens (150-600) and with the 2x, it allows me to shoot at 1200mm max and can be hand held. Given a kestrel may be only 9" tall and I was a good distance away from her, I was pleased I got ANY shot. |

I will keep trying to get another photo but I am shifting my bird focus to other places. My little falcon can be very elusive and I have gone numerous times without seeing her. If I weren't looking for her, she would probably just stay put on the line, lol! |

Given how small she is and where she likes to perch, it is very hard to get any shot. I'm hoping I will get to try again with her. |

I will keeping "stalking" this little bird. I think barrel compression worked against me as I was hoping f/16 would have yielded a much sharper image. She never picks a location that would make for an easier shot...... |

Love the tonality of this and agree with comments concerning palm in upper right. |

I like the removal of the lines and little distractions but for me, I like the colors of the original. I think both photos are sharp. Good job with the clean-up! |

I've seen similar competitions with sand but your photo is the first snow sculpture I think I've seen. Considering I couldn't make a decent snowman, this is most impressive. Your photo certainly does a great service, you have capture the details quite well. Perhaps you could blur the background out to keep the focus on the sculpture and agree with comments on the crop. |

Impressive place and when I first saw it, I thought it was 'land shark'. Love the details to the building as my eye is very content to explore all the lines, angles, the shine and dark of it. The only detail that I might work on is there appears to bit a bit of a halo along the top edge of the building (of course it might be due to refection). Just looks a wee bit strange to me. |

I like the left side more than right. Seems to me that the sides are not balanced in their impact. Would imagine there are several photo ops with this structure. Do like Shaikh comments about straightening and cropping. |

Nope, Donald has cute boys! I like your treatment of the background but really torn between the color versus mono. Your grandsons are really cute. If you really want to bring more attention to Donald's hands, you might also try cropping the lower portion of the photo out. This would help to keep the attention to the upper part of the photo where all the cuteness is. |
