I gathered but I'm not seeing that - all I see is a single sentence: "A few days ago I found these remains in my backyard; I put them on a black background and photographed them using a macro lens." It was the same with one of the other photos where I didn't see the photographer's whole comment. |

Another image where Mark is referring to comments I'm not seeing - am I being a dumb newbie and missing something?
A great subject for a still life. I can't see your settings but I feel you aren't getting quite enough depth of field out of your macro lens. Maybe a case for focus stacking? It is just a shame that the left side is little off sharp. I would also have cleaned out the random hair that squiggles across the top of the frame. Possibly the bones are a keeper for another composition arranged with some other objects.

I don't really have anything to add over last month's comment. Amusing enough but I don't really get it and would have no idea how to do it. I think I prefer last month's iteration which did for me pass the hang it on the wall test. This one doesn't quite do it as much. |

I like the contextual drama of the original shot and don't feel the crop is necessary. Lovely colour in the hills and I like the wisps of cloud. I was amused by how pleased with herself the sheep is looking. |

Lovely image of an old steam train. Nice composition. I like the strong red of the colour version but I find the man's blue jacket draws my eye. I might have tried to clone him out as, hey, who needs drivers?! Him apart, I have to agree that the colour works better but it might have been fun to try a vintage sepia treatment on it. |

A great moment, well observed. I'm not seeing your comment about the background and foreground grasses that Mark mentioned. My only observation would be that I feel a slight green-ish cast over the whole image - including the animals - and I wonder if that could have been toned out a little. |
