You did a great job on the man's face - I can't tell you did anything which is as it should be. I didn't even notice the missing feet till I read your description.

Great image and what a wonderful fall scene. Very picturesque. Really like the placement of the man and dog - they lead my eyes right to the river and then the dramatic sky.
I would have been tempted to bump up the tree colours just a tad (add just a bit of "ooomph" to the colours to make them pop a little - see my VF) but I suspect this is as you saw the scene and it certainly is a great scene.

What a great image. I spent a fair bit of time looking around, trying to understand exactly what I was looking at and then enjoying all the different parts of it. I don't know how this would look in colour, but your mono processing is excellent. I don't see any people (did you remove them or did you get lucky with none around) and their absence adds to the mystic of the image.
