Really like this image and seeing your original makes your edits even more impressive. Making the image mono and then cropping in makes a huge difference. The snow looks incredible. I must look for "adding snow" PS videos and give it a try. |

Hi Prasad, you are spot-on regarding the pot. I wish I'd taken more shots with slightly differing arrangements. The scene was very cramped and I doubt that I could have gotten much better of a shot without physically moving the pot (and the owner of the house did not look like he was open to that idea - I had to ask him for permission just to shoot the scene and he was not enthusiastic about me doing so).
For my tastes, lowering the saturation for the greens affects such a large amount of the image that it dramatically alters the image feel. The flowers pop better with the desaturated greens but for me, the image takes on a stark feel.
Thanks for your feedback! |

I've been there many times but always in the fall and always visited on land. The water route must be wonderful. There are something like 7 or 8 waterfalls in the Munising area.
I think you have done a great job with a difficult subject. The rocks are very interesting to look at but how does one shoot them? You have a nice variety of colours and formations. I can spend a lot of time exploring this image.
I took your image into Viveza and tweaked it a bit (added a little structure, some contrast, and bumped the saturation a tad). Please see my VF for the results. I felt the image needed a little pizzazzing. |

Oh man, I had on my to-do list to get out to a lavender field this summer and I totally forgot.
Very nice image, pleasing to look at. The colours are wonderful and they paint a nice, calm image. The sky has lots of character which really adds to the image.
I like how you have biased the shed well to the right thus giving lots of room for my eyes to explore the scene before getting to the shed. |

This is an interesting image. Your story behind the image (and it is well done - thank you) is all about the balloon and the flame. The glass Louvre is a nice marker to help identify where the image was taken, but it takes up about 1/3 of the image. in my VF i cropped the image to reduce the amount of the Louvre in the image. Not sure if this works but my goal was to put more focus on the balloon.
Wonderful colours in the sky.
I'm sure this must have been a special moment with all those people watching and being caught up in the excitement. |

What a great shot - almost feels like I can reach out and touch her. It looks like she was watching you as you took your shot.
Really nice focus on the moose and I like how the background of nice and soft. It keeps my eyes on the subject.
Also great composition - fills the frame perfectly. |
