Hi Kathleen, if memory serves me, I was maybe 15 inches away. This image is a tight crop of the big, full bloom. |

To my eyes, this image has an interesting feel and appearance. Almost like it's been processed with some sort of filter. It has a unique appearance and I like it.
I'd love to see the unprocessed image. I suspect it is also one I'd like.
I think you have a strong story in this image and I'd very much suggest it is a "good" image. |

Never seen such a barn - thank you for sharing.
Nicely composed with the barn to the left a bit of centre and the tree on the right edge balancing perfectly in my mind.
Great colours and sharpness.
My only suggestion is lightening up the dark shadow area in the foreground just a bit. |

Beautiful image and I really love how you smoothed out the water. I'm not sure if it is the filter that you used, but the sky colouring is wonderful.
Great composition - a wonderful shot! |

WOW, you have such a lovely view from your backyard.
Nicely done removing the wires. I like the composition and also the colours and reflection.
My eyes find the image a tad dark and I'd be tempted to brighten it up a bit to see how it looks. |

Not being familiar with the scene, I didn't understand that the blue metallic building was actually a reflection of the sky colour. To my untrained eye, it looks like a lovely scene but with a mono sky and that has left me wondering why. Just a thought, but maybe give the sky a bit of colour and then tweak up the saturation of the building to help make it stand out (or tweak the hue of the building to separate it from the sky?).
It is a very nice scene and the building certainly is interesting to look at. Nice composition. The building seems to be leaning to the right and this adds interest. |

Great image and I agree that it works better in colour. It looks like you have the tree on the left 3rd line. My eyes enter the picture from the left and then stop and I get a sense of not much happening on the right 2/3s of the image. Maybe crop so the tree is on the right 3rd line? I do like the 2 or 3 branches on the left side acting as leading lines to the trunk. |
