What a great scene! I'm glad you pointed out the couple waling as they really do give a perspective to the size of the hills.
You did a nice job on the mountains and lightening up the shadows. My only comment would be that the clouds top left could do with a toning down if possible. They may be blown out which is problematic.
Having just your phone camera, I'd say "well done"! |

Very nice shot! I would have guessed somewhere in Alaska given the fishing boats scenery and how they kayakers seem to be bundled up against the weather.
Really like the sharpness in the foreground, very nice detail. Also like how the background is nicely soft which helps keep my eyes on the subjects.
My curiosity is tweaked here - a lot of the kayakers seems to be pointing and looking at something on the dock. |

WOW, this is a very busy image and my eyes don't know where to settle. Very interesting and it really does paint a picture of the intensity of the trapping activity.
I think you've handled the water and pilings nicely. I'd be tempted to crop in closer so that fewer traps are showing, but more detail is visible for the traps.
This is an interesting pictorial comment of the possible over-trapping of the lobsters. Not sure if they are an endangered species or not (but these days it seems everything is endangered). |
