Great image and fantastic post-processing,. I can appreciate how much effort this must have taken to get the final image - very well done!
Love the colour on the bridge and the details you got. The fireworks are a very interesting addition to the image and give an great reason to spend more time looking around the image. |

Hi Kathleen, it's really hard to work with the file you uploaded because it is so small. However, I suspect that one issue is how far the eagle actually is from you. You had to crop a lot to get the eagle to be a decent size in the image and this can cause pixelation and also bring out the noise.
I think your camera has a 24-600mm zoom lens and if I'm correct then zooming in closer will help with clarity and reduce the need for cropping to get the eagle to be a decent size in the image. If you are already zoomed to 600mm then I'd suggest that the eagle was just too far away to get a good shot.
Given the original image, I think you did a very nice job on the image.
Not sure if this helps. |

I like the cropping. If the heron had been looking down then I'd suggest that you could crop the left side, but with the heron gazing leftward, I think how you've done it is fine (my opinion only). This image has a bit of a dreamy feel to it with the fog and I like it. It is a nice image to look at.
Where my wife and I winter in Alabama, Blue Herons will stand by the fishermen on the Gulf beach waiting very patiently for them to catch something and throw it to them to eat. |

A most interesting image. The detail in the wings is great, the reflection in the water is excellent and the composition is well done (although I'd prefer a touch more space above the eagle). It looks like you used some sort of filter to get the look. While interesting, I'd love to see the original. This looks like an image that would be impressive without any artistry filter.
I'm a touch confused by your comment re noise. Generally, a higher ISO setting (say going from 100 to 2,500) will make the noise much more noticeable. I would not expect to see any noticeable noise at f/8 (with settings of ISO 100 and 1/60 sec) vs. using an aperture of f/4 (and keeping the ISO at 100 and adjusting your shutter speed to a faster setting to compensate for the wider aperture). BTW, many people (including myself) think very highly of the Topaz Denoise app, which does a wonderful job of fixing noise issues. |

What a great shot. I think I can see the head of the coach (background, middle) and the boys mostly listening to his instructions. Something has caught the attention of the boy front centre. Really good sharpness on the fencing and through it to the boys. Very well lit, I image this would have been a tricky shot. An "after" shot when they are all dusty would be interesting. This is a great summer moment. |
