In my mind this image was about a lost bus and the strange route it must have taken to get where it is. I like both orientations but I feel that the flipped image (as Stuart implies) gives a sense of movement and while certainly valid, doesn't go with my intent. I do very much appreciate all the comments; they have been helpful for me to further explore my thoughts on the image. |

Thanks Stuart for the suggestion. As Andrew says, it gives a very different feel to the image. There are merits to both orientations and I will have to ponder this more. |

When I got the PS / Lightroom bundle, I quickly decided to focus on PS and not bother with Lightroom. I did this because so many times I read of people starting their image processing in Lightroom and then switching over to PS for the things that Lightroom couldn't do (or do very well). It made my learning curve just a bit less. There are a ton of online courses and even more one-off videos. I ended up doing the Tim Grey Photoshop Course. Cost around $100 (not sure what it is now) but I really liked that he gave you access to the videos so you could watch, then download and try the lesson and go back as often as I needed to. This got me going enough that I was able to then go find other specific topics to learn as I needed to.
What a great capture of your granddaughter - your timing was perfect. Would have been nice to have a bit more definition in the purple flowers, but I think that is a minor point. This is a feel good image of a young lady jumping for joy. I found the image to be a bit washed out so I tried adding some contrast with a PS Curves filter. |

Wonderful explanation - thank you. The yellow buildings really stand out in the scene and saying "rough terrain" looks to be a bit of an understatement. I would have liked seeing more detail of the buildings and less of the mountainous terrain. I've attached a cropped version to show what I mean. |

I really like this image. The two birds look like they are deciding whether to exit or not. The back bird is a bit soft in my mind, I wonder if a smaller aperture would have helped make it a little sharper. |

Beautiful sene and I love that you've made it into a panorama format. It really brings out the dock which leads perfectly to the sunset. You are right, in my mind, the couple adds warmth to the scene through the human touch. I also like the weeds / rushes bottom right as they anchor the scene to the shore. |
