61 Dec 22 Comment David, I think this is a great shot and your processing is wonderful. Kudos for iCamera image. The discussions about "stroke", hot spots and painting colors is way beyond my comprehension, and I am looking forward to learning!!! Dec 13th
61 Dec 22 Comment Ingrid, WOW!!! This is gorgeous. After considering the previous comments and looking at this from lots of different perspectives, I would not change a thing. Very impressive processing. I hope that I can get close to this in the future. Dec 13th
61 Dec 22 Comment Shirley, How festive!! Love the painterly effect, however it was done. The green leaves are great contrast. Suggest a tighter crop (try square) to reduce the red, which is somewhat overwhelming. Dec 13th
61 Dec 22 Comment Marti, Very nice image. The crop is great. The increased detail and contrast create rich colors and grabs your attention. However, I prefer the softer colors in the original. The detail and contrast (I think) are too much for my taste - the green in the upper left is bordering on florescent and the boost creates hot spots on some of the leaf edges. Dec 13th
61 Dec 22 Comment Beautiful image and very creative processing. Color, detail and orientation look perfect to me. I think I understand "liquefy" but "stroke" is new to me and I feel intimidated by discussions of 2 pixels v 5 pixels. I joined the group to learn something more than the "typical" flower photo. Thanks to all for your creativity!!! Dec 13th
61 Dec 22 Comment Beautiful color, lightin and framing. Agree with Linda on the orientation / positioning. I find left to right leading lines are almost always preferable to my taste, and I routinely "flip" my images during processing. This "stroke" process is new to me, but like the results. Also, consider a square crop for a more "artful" look. Dec 13th

86 Dec 22 Reply Gene EckhardtSecond Try .... Dec 22nd
86 Dec 22 Reply Used the pocket tripod and mount shown in photo on six long trips to Europe starting in 2017 with excellent results. I have posted some of the images in this forum, won many ribbons at the county fair and this past fall an HM in the Washington State Fair. Google "iPhone tripod" - lots of reviews (usually like Tom's) and options. Note: not all mounts / tripods allow vertical photos. Enjoy.
Sorry, unable to post photo ...

86 Dec 22 Reply Your version is a great improvement! Thanks for taking the time to comment and post. Dec 19th
86 Dec 22 Comment Love the image. Beautiful color and texture on the feathers and background. However, to my eye, they overwelm the mask. Perhaps a slightly lighter texture in the mask would recover a bit of detail, giving the mask a stronger presence. Very creative!!! Dec 13th
86 Dec 22 Comment Beautiful seasonal image!!! Not sure that I understand the process, but think it produced a great image. Love the constrast between the "real central image" and the "cartoon" background. Dec 13th
86 Dec 22 Comment Agree with Steven. Very impressive shot. Suggest slight crop on the left to iliminate the branch tips, and on the right to the "golden tree barances. That will preserve the primary sky / fog, and eliminate some of the black frame.
Season to taste.
All things considered. Suggest tripod or camera support for low light shots.
Well done.

86 Dec 22 Comment Agree with Jack and Steven. Impressive for moving vehicl / window shot. trying controling the focus point wiht the "Lock Focus" feature. Touch, and hold, screen with finger at the desired focus point. Dec 13th
86 Dec 22 Comment Beautiful color and very sureal. Impressive capture of color in night shot. Was this hand held or did you use a tripod or other camera support? Dec 13th
