Thanks for you comments. I've tried many similar shots the phone camera but with limited success. Really nice when things work out as intended. |

Thank you for comments on the flower and the Showcase image. I was trying to get the stamens sharp which, I think, was only possible with the Focus Lock. Otherwise, larger background overwelled the stamens. |

Thanks. Sometimes DOF is our friend. Wich I could say it was totally intentional. |

Thank you. Had not thought of it as a macro, but I guess it is. |

Beautiful. Nice focus and exposure captures texture on the white flowers. Can be very difficult with phone camera. Nice blur of the unopened buds. Background well controlled and nicely blurred. Agree with Bob, darken background as much as you can / comfortable to make pop.

Nice job with the dark background - the Iris pops right out. Beautiful crop. Love to shoot Iris. Suggest that you consider adding a touch of contrast to bring out the texture and a slight brightening of the beard to make I pop. Season to taste. |

Really like this image. Beautiful leading lines in the sand to the mesquite. The texture of the sands looks soft / wind-blown. Complementing shadow running left to right. Moon is a nice touch. |

Nice composition. Image is slightly "lost" on the right side. Texture works very well with the I mage. I want to touch it!! Great job. |

Very nice! I like the shot through the fence - adds interest with line, texture, and perspective. Nice contrast of the modern style table/bench with the old barn and silo. Although not a WOW type photo, it invites me in to discover the interesting interaction of shapes, color, and textures. I suggest you consider tightening up the crop a little on both sides and the bottom to get a slightly larger image of the subject. Comments prior to the creation story, which is very interesting. |

I like the composition very much. I am not familiar with infra-red. Like the dark water/reflections leading line. The whites are well controlled - no blow out. However, I find there is not enough contrast in the main subject area whites (trees and clouds) to easily separate objects. Everything tends to blend together. Perhaps that is part of the genre? Also, my glasses are very strong. From the little I have heard about infra-red, the quality of this image with a phone camera is shocking. |
