Thanks Bob. We were in town for a week and our hotel was about a 10 minute walk. We visited / passed often. I've got way too many photos - angles, time of day, weather, both sides of the river .... Have not really sorted things out. Like this image, so posting provided an opportunity to clean it up. Shot image in RAW (DNG) using the ProCamera APP. Gives most options on regular camera - shutter speed, ISO, EV, WB, etc. Of course aperture is fixed. |

Another Great image Kieu-Hanh! I agree with all of the comments. A beautiful, peaceful image. I expect a light, cool breeze, rustling the leaves on the road and sending a shower of color falling from the treas. Composition, framing, leading lines, colors (tastefully vibrant), textures ....
I make one suggestion, which I've made before in this group.... flip the image so the road leads from left to right and compare. |

Great image Ruth considering night shot, taken through the windshield of a moving vehicle!!! Nice job cloning out the structural elements. My only suggestion is a tight crop to highlight the subject. |

Welcome Bob. This is the one of most amazing images I've seen taken with an iPhone or ANY ~26mm lens. You must have been with 40 feet of the Island. And the flying Egret is big bonus. Nice call on live view. The composition and crop capture all of the action, color and textures (water ripples, grasses, bare trees, background trees, clouds, reflections... are beautiful. A perfect time of day. Unfortunately, the Island is in shadow. An HDR setting would have mitigated the contrast, although I find my Apple 8 (and I expect the 13 Pro) does an amazing job handling this kind of lighting contrast. I doubt that software HDR Effect would help. |

Great image! Terrific composition with the "bed" as a leading line. Nice texture and color. This image begs for "over-the-top" - go for it!. The processing makes everything pop. Agree with comment to decrease / eliminate the center lighting. Increasing overall exposure will capture more of the rust / grunge on axel and inside of the wheel. Like Bob's Topaz grunge filter that adds texture, color and contrast to the large wheel and floor. Suggest extending crop to capture all of the small back wheel, but clone out the dark floor. Attached is quick & dirty idea, rough brush work.
Great "creation story"! |

Great job Pat. A worthy project and, overall, impressive first effort with a new App. Took me a while to plug into what you did. I like the background work, which blends in nicely. My only comment is a nit relating to masking, which left red artifacts on the upper right petals and red, green/black artifacts on the edges in the lower petals. |

Very Nice! Agree with all the comments. Great composition, leading line (trail), perspective (low), B&W, etc. Understand Jack's preference for the "dreamy" look. I like Bob's idea of increasing contrast to show more detail, although I personally feel the image he posted went a bit too much. This is print worthy. Larger prints (16x20) degrade sharpness that I have found can often be offset by a slight boost in tonal contrast. Well done! |

I have managed quite a few nice images in low light - both natural and interior (cathedrals, castles, museums, etc.). Prefer pocket tripod (about 7 inches) but also very nice handheld. See response to Stephen. |

Welcome Stephen! Thanks for your comments and question. Apologies. I Titled the photo, but it was posted as "Untitled." This is the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao. It sits on the bank of the Nervion River in Bilbao, Spain. It was the first (1997), and perhaps the most famous, of Frank Gehry's distinctive building style. The interior is also amazing, but difficult to photograph because of the size and space. I am a big fan and visit his work whenever I can on my travels. |
