Hi Kamal. What a fun story! I'm sure that a world traveling Praying Mantis is a unique occurrence. I like the placement of the subject in the frame, but agree with Darcy that the reducing the texture of the background would help her to stand out since she is so sharp. I love the shadow and the diagonal composition. Thanks for sharing her adventure! |

Hi Jackie. That definitely is a sky that can't be passed up. I'm not sure I like Greg's suggestion, since that bush really isn't something you would normally like to highlight. I tried Darcy's suggestion and I think that solves the problem, giving the tree silhouettes on the horizon the job on anchor. See what you think, as I also cropped a bit of each side to make it a more traditional pano aspect ratio. |

Hi Tom. The long exposure really created the perfect atmosphere for this image, and the colors are unique and intriguing. I agree with Darcy about the stark line of the structure being in the exact middle of the frame, and I think a panoramic aspect ratio could be very effective. But overall, this is a very successful image and well worth an early rise. |

Hi Greg! The transformation of this image from the original to your result is amazing and turns a competent documentary image into a dramatic masterpiece. The light and dusty background are very effective. I agree that a little more space at the top is helpful, but this is an outstanding image, (and Black Bears do matter!) |

Hi Darcy. I love this image and you have really captured the mood and grandeur of this iconic scene. Your focus is spot on throughout and the colors are both natural and dramatic. The placement of the domes one third of the way into the frame and the diagonal leading line of the canal make this a very effective composition. Toning down the bright white ship in the distance is a good suggestion, but otherwise, I wouldn't change a thing! |

Hi Karen - this IS a really fun project and it's great when your work benefits another's passion. I agree with Greg's suggestion on the image format. Personally, I prefer the text at the bottom, but it does work either way. The three angles you have selected for the car images show the car to its best advantage and I would leave the three main images squared up as you have shown them for a classier look. You probably need a little personal logo at the bottom! |
