Hi Kamal. All I can say is this is GREAT and one of your most successful fishing images. The composition, focus, lighting and color palette are very effective and the wonderful sweep of the nets connecting the two vessels is amazing. Congratulations. |

Hi Tom. This is a dramatic minimalist image and the lighting you arranged is very effective. I love the purple hue and the reflection of that color in the reeds. Your focus is perfect and the composition is effective and holds the viewers' attention even in its simplicity. Although you can see the border of the image if you look carefully, I'd love to see it with a tiny stroke to set the composition off against the background. I'm not sure I understand your description of what you were aiming for, but I hope you will share it with us when you get what you were trying to achieve. |

Hi Greg. This is a wonderful image and the light is fantastic. I agree that the green on the building could be toned down a little, but otherwise I love everything about it. I appreciate the white stroke you added to frame the composition. |

Hi Darcy. As you may have guessed, I am definitely drawn to minimalist images and this is an excellent example, well composed and edited. Flipping the image horizontally is a good idea, but I like everything about it. Lovely serene feeling. |

Hi Karen. This is a VERY moving image. Your composition is very effective, especially the veterans posture and placement of his hand. Converting this to black and white was an excellent choice, both to get rid of the distracting yellow shirt, but also to create the somber atmosphere this moment deserves. Thanks for choosing this image to share! |

Hi Rich, What a scrumptious color. I love the way you have darkened the distracting leaves and stems, while still leaving a hint of them to give the flower a sense of place. This periwinkle has a definite glow. |

Hi Kamal. This is an amazing orchid, and I love the sharpness, color and texture you have emphasized. My only reservation is the way the bloom appears to be floating in the frame. If it were mine, I would try a composition, eliminating the background as you have, but leaving in the leaves and stem, creating a diagonal composition. The blemishes in the leaves would need to be healed, but the soft greens and variation in their colors would enhance the flower and give it a sense of place. You are lucky to have access to such beautiful gardens! |

Hi Doug. I like the diagonal composition you have created and the soft background which gives it a very painterly feel. I do love the curves of this bud, but I would like to see the center area just a tad sharper to give it more definition. My husband would never say he disliked one of my images, probably just say it wasn't one of his favorites, but I would get the idea ;) |

Hi Nadia. Your edit is very effective and provides this beautiful flower with the stage it needs to be appreciated. I love the green leaf and the way you have separated it from the clematis bloom. It makes this a very unique and presentation. Your ability to create such lovely textured backgrounds is envied! |

Hi Marti. This is a wonderful textural composition and I love the sharp details and the depth created by the highlights and shadows. The only thing I find a bit distracting is the vertical twig along the upper right edge. Maybe it would get less attention if the shadow was less dark. I have to say that your shoe looks very practical and comfortable! |

Hi Bob. I have to say that I love your original as well, even though it doesn't have a prominent flower on which to focus. The twirl you have created makes for a very dramatic abstract and I'm glad it's not a full 360 degree twirl, which makes is more dynamic I think. The colors are amazing. I really appreciate the details of the flowers' centers which are maintained at the center and the two edges of the twirl. |
