Wow Kamal! I can definitely see why you were drawn to this scene. It is wonderfully colorful and interesting, and fun to have some of the passengers waving to you. I am most amazed by the number of passengers that were able to squeeze onto this vessel. Do you know the purpose of such a voyage? Was it a sight-seeing trip or actually transportation from one place to another? You did a great job with the focus and exposure. Thanks for sharing!!! |

Hi Tom. I think your conversion to black and white and adjustment of the lighting achieves your goals of bringing the viewer's eye to the left headlights. It creates and lovely and moody portrait of this antique truck. On the other hand, I find the colors of the truck's hood and the graffiti in the original very interesting and whimsical. There is definitely another completely different and effective image within in this file as well! |

Hi Greg. I think this image is very well done. The golden color is beautiful and I love the way the image transitions from the surface ripples on the right to the underwater clarity on the left. Although everything is in focus, the scene still evokes a sense of motion with the fish appearing the move through the scene and the ripples on the surface. Nice screen saver. |

Hi Darcy. This is a unique capture of hot air balloons while they are still relaxing on the ground. I love the way you've anchored them by showing the bottom of the basket in the front left of the image. Filling the frame with the balloons is very effective, and the size of the figures gives the image a great sense of depth. I love the leading lines of the white lines on the balloons leading into the center on each balloon. I wouldn't recommend any changes. |

Hi Karen. What a dramatic landscape. I think your composition is very effective. The tree in the foreground left counterbalances the prominent rock face on the right. The color contrast of the orange cliffs against the blue sky is also dramatic. You have done an excellent job with the focus of all aspects of the scene, foreground, center and background. This would be a great image for a calendar! |

Hi Kamal. I agree that a tighter crop might help to keep the viewers eye on the main subject. It also might help to lighten the bird a little to better show its color and texture. The clean sky behind creates a great background that doesn't compete with the bird and flower. Thanks for sharing this view into the gardens of your country! |

Hi Doug. You have done an excellent job with the focus of the white bloom and it stands out well against the black background. Eliminating the texture of the bricks in the background was definitely beneficial. Although the out of focus leaves are a little distracting, I think their angles and placement are important to the overall composition and give the bloom a sense of place within the frame. Just out of curiousity, how large are these flowers? |

Hi Nadia. This is a beautiful bud and your placement of it in the frame is excellent. I like your use of the texture and beveled frame. I Love the richness of the pink on the tips in the original, and would love to see it with a little more brilliance in the final for comparison. But your final color palette is very soothing, so added color might interfere with that. Just a thought.... |

Hi Marti. I love the sharpness and texture of the center of this rose, and the off-center composition is very effective. I love the way you increased the saturation without making it look unnatural. I agree with the comments about the cutoff tip at the bottom, and it would be worth the effort to recreate it. I can almost smell the aroma of the rose! |

Hi Bob. I really like this one. The 3D quality created by the light behind the darker swirls is mesmerizing. Your composition is well balanced and I think the fact that the shapes merge with the edges creates a nice stability to offset the chaos of the center swirls. Congratulations on a wonderful image! |
