Hi Kamal. This is a great image, and I love the informal interaction with the jute farmers. Your composition is very well done and the overall exposure is perfect. The texture and graduated color in the water really adds to the overall feel. I might add a slight vignette, but overall this is a wonderful capture. Thanks for sharing. Ingrid |

Hi Erin. This is another excellent sports image. Your crop and the blurring of the observers really makes the image more effective. I actually like the placement of the goal in the frame. I agree about removing the sign behind the player's head, but, otherwise, I wouldn't suggest any changes. Ingrid |

Hi Tom. Your focus stacking is very well done and effective. The composition and viewpoint are also well chosen. I love the repeating curves of the sand, water and rocks behind. I also love the placement of the waterfall and the effect of the longer exposure. You have done an excellent job of not overexposing the highlights and still having good definition in the areas of shadow. Now, all you need is a red checked blanket on the sand with a picnic laid out :) Ingrid |

Hi Greg. This is a great portrait and I love the moment you have captured. Your focus is spot on throughout and the exposure is perfect. You have done a great job on your series. The only suggestion I would make for this "outtake" would be to slightly lower the exposure of the bright spot in the middle of his forehead. Ingrid |

Hi Darcy. These are beautiful flowers and I can imagine the fragrance. I like the aggressive crop, especially at the bottom but would probably opt not to cut off the ends of the petals on the left and top. The light is beautiful and I love the backlighting. You have done a great job of separating the flowers from the background. The vignette is subtle and effective. Ingrid

Hi Karen. This certainly looks like an wonderful place to stay for a week or so. I love the feeling that your image conveys. I actually like the placement of the houses near the edge of the frame. because it emphasizes the insignificance of the structures in the great expanse of the shore and water. I'm impressed that you were able to capture this panorama without a tripod. Good luck with your submission. Ingrid |

Hi David. The curls are fantastic on this dahlia and your square crop really emphasizes the colors and shapes. I have no suggestions for improvements because the image is perfect as it is. Are you familiar with the flower photographer, Kathleen Clemons? You might want to check her out on Instagram. She has perfected the art of capturing dahlia curls! Ingrid |

Hi Marti. Your crop is VERY effective and I love the contrast of the red and green. The image is sharp throughout and I love the slight condensation on the berry on the left. I probably wouldn't have noticed it either, but David's suggestion to darken the stems would probably make the image even more effective. Ingrid |

Hi Esther. I love the colors of these flowers and they are set off nicely against the green of the leaves. I think your crop was very effective, and I also like the fact that the flower with the bug is set apart from the others. I agree with David's suggestion about the small out of focus flower - it is a distraction and would not be missed in the composition. I might also clone out the little dark spot on the top flower on the left. It's a small thing, but it draws my eye. Overall, I think this is a very nice image and provides a great record of these plants. Ingrid |
