Thanks, Karen. It's always nice when it's easy to correct little distractions like the power lines and the tree/people. PS to the rescue….again |

Thanks, Erin! I didn't even notice the tree at the top of the hill, so thanks for pointing it out - easily eliminated! |

Thanks, Darcy! Yes the power lines were not a problem to remove and you confirmed by inclination. I wish I had stepped back a few feet to get the entire right hand car, but it was a cold and drizzly day, and I was in a bit of a hurry. But I decided to leave the partial car in because of it's beautiful color and its bookend for function… |

Thanks, Tom. You confirmed my thought on the power lines, and they are now gone forever. Your thought on reducing clarity etc is interesting, and I tried it. Not sure which I like best, though. |

Hi Kamal. Once again, you've captured a unique aerial perspective of unique scene. I like the composition and the position of the boat and the nets is excellent. The bright sun reflections are bit distracting, but impossible to avoid. I tried to roughly reduce their brightness using a mask and camera raw and have attached the result, which may or may not be an improvement. (PS - I really like your new profile picture on FB!) |

Hi Erin. This is a great action image and you have captured it well. I agree with Darcy's cropping suggestion, but otherwise I wouldn't change a thing! |

Hi Tom. I love the graphic and minimalistic quality of this image. The softness of the bird and background is really enhanced by the sharpness and detail in the eye. My only suggestion might be to try adding a small amount of background to the top so that the Egret's head doesn't touch the frame, but I'm can make an argument for your current composition as well. Great capture. |

Hi Greg. What a great portrait. I probably wouldn't have noticed the prominence of the hands if Darcy hadn't mentioned it, but maybe they could be toned down just a bit to be less of an eye draw. Otherwise, I think it's perfect as is! |

Hi Darcy. I also think that gargoyles are charming in their own grotesque way and this is a particularly unique one. I really like your placement of the head in the frame and the two blueish elements really add to the impact. I agree that Tom's idea of more separation from the background is effective. Maybe we could see a image of Emmett on your back deck? |

Hi Karen. Those cottage owners certainly have a utopian setting for their vacations! I agree that your cropping was right on and frames the scene well. The couple in the canoe really add to the dynamic of the scene. You might try increasing the red saturation of the canoe and maybe bring the highlights on the couple down just a tad. I also think that the trees colors would benefit by more vibrance, especially in the red tones. You've captured a great atmosphere. |

Hi David. I actually like your original best. I think the composition is a bit more dynamic. I love the color and the texture and the wabi sabi decay is perfect, and makes the flower so much more interesting, unique and textured than a perfect iris would ever be! Great job! |

Hi Marti. I'm also very sorry to hear of your hospitalization and hope it goes well for you. I'm impressed that you even submitted an image. This is an interesting one, and the dew drops make the image. I like the composition and the placement of the plant in the frame with the dark background setting it off well. It came out very well for not having done any post-processing. I'll be thinking of you! |

Hi Ester and I also welcome you to the group! I like your crop and the placement of the flower and bee in the frame. The frost damaged daisy is definitely an example of wabi sabi and the color and shapes of the flower are still beautiful in their own way. There is a lot of noise, but there are ways that that could be reduced in post processing, which could be an improvement. Thanks for sharing. |
