Hi Kamal. Thanks for sharing another interesting and colorful cultural event. It's so enjoyable to witness these special displays. Doing a headstand on the back of a camel is definitely not something I could see in my world, so I appreciate the opportunity. I actually like the group of three on lookers that you took out of the frame, but I think the composition works with or without them. Although the partial figure behind the camel adds to the story, I might try to clone him out to see if it makes for a cleaner view of the main subject. Thanks again for bringing us another unique event! Ingrid |

Hi Erin. You've handled this well and I agree that the action captured makes up for not seeing the players' faces. The positioning of the soccer ball is great, and I think that applying a slight gaussian blur to the background was very effective. I love the shadows of the figures on the grass below. Thanks for sharing this! Ingrid |

Hi Tom. What a fun opportunity to have access to an infrared camera conversion. You have definitely achieved your goal of creating a spooky image, just in time for Halloween. Your postprocessing has greatly enhanced the mood and I love the way you've played with the light to bring the viewer's attention to the interesting gothic windows. It just needs a ghost escaping through the window or the silhouette of a witch on a broomstick in the sky! Ingrid |

Hi Greg. What a great action shot! You have definitely created a great series. I agree with Tom and Darcy's thoughts on this one, but overall, this is a fantastic rodeo capture. Congrats! Ingrid |

Hi Darcy. this is a great architectural image and the perspective, and the parallel and receding lines really draw the viewer into the space. I especially love the progression of the chandeliers and the repeating arches of the ceiling. Although I feel that the image is great as presented, I tried a couple of edits out of curoisity, reducing the vertical exaggeration with the distort tool and darkening the stain glass windows a bit to show their color. It's included here just as a point of discussion, |

Hi Karen. This is a beautiful portrait of a rose and an interesting abstract at the same time. I like where you have placed the rose in the frame and the subtle textures and curves. I can't think of anything that would make it more effective. Congrats! Ingrid |

Hi David. this is definitely a unique capture and the bubble effect is really interesting and adds a dreamy feel to the image. I would probably darken the bokeh in the upper right corner since they draw the viewer's eye out of the frame, but overall I like it. It feels like there should be a fairly hovering over the middle bloom! Ingrid |

Hi Marti. You've captured the bee perfectly and he looks quite busy taking advantage of this flower's pollen. I agree that darkening the background would benefit the composition, but your focus and vantage point are very effective. Congrats! Ingrid |

This is a beautiful and unique dahlia and I'm impressed that it from your garden because I understand that dahlias are a tricky and labor intensive flower to grow. I probably wouldn't have picked up on the faint background in the lower right, but now that I see it, it's probably a good idea to eliminate it. But overall, I think this is a very well done flower portrait and would make quite a grand statement on a large metal print! Thanks for sharing. Ingrid |
