Hi Kamal. This is a very powerful image and the crop is perfect. I agree about lightening the area of the chain to put more emphasis on the plight of this beautiful creature. Ingrid |

Hi Tom. This a great night image and you have done an excellent job of combining three images into a dramatic and interesting composite. I agree about the bright white spot in the lower right, but other than that, I think it's perfect. Congratulations! Ingrid |

Hi Greg. You have captured an very interesting moment and I love the movement and positions of the primary cowboy and his horse - looks like a very exciting point in time. Although the stationary figure on the horse in the background provides a nice contrast to the motion of the main subject, and tells the photojournalistic story of the rodeo, as an alternative composition, it might be a simple and dramatic composition to eliminate the stationary horse and figure entirely and just showcase the action packed cowboy and horse. Just a thought....

This is a interesting plant and you have done a good job on the focus and composition. Although I am not normally a fan of black and white backgrounds with the subject in color, I think this image could convince me otherwise. The black and white does separate the flower from the background very well. My only suggestion would be to clone out the flower you have left in black and white. It emphasizes the fact that you have converted the background to monochrome and is a bit distracting. I would also recommend that you lighten the very dark splotches on the right side of the plant to match the tonal range on the left side. Thanks for sharing this unique flower. ingrid |

I think you have done a great job in capturing this fellow and I love the contrast of the blue on the butterfly and the red of the twig he has landed on. Although the entire wing is not in focus, the portion of the wing and body that is in focus is impressive and makes this an effective capture. I agree that toning down the yellow in the background might benefit the image, but it is great as it is. Ingrid |

But I think I may have selected the wrong original because it does seem sharper than what I could have accomplished with the original I submitted :) |

I agree with David. I love the color tones and the almost monochrome nature of the image. The angle you have chosen is interesting and creates a nice triangular composition. In this case, three is definitely not a crowd! Thanks for sharing, Ingrid |

You have created a very dramatic and almost other-worldly composition. The colors and texture are handled well, although the largest bloom seems a bit blownout. I agree with David's suggestions. Ingrid |

The contrast of light and dark in this image is very effective and the conversion to black and white simplifies and emphasizes this in a very dramatic way. Although the bottom is dark, I think it provides a sense of space and does not detract from the overall effect. I really like it. Ingrid |

The focus on this bee and his flower is amazing. The bee almost looks cuddly and we KNOW that's not the case. I love the dappled background in the original, and I also see a great composition with a bit of a larger crop to include some of that texture. Ingrid |
