Thanks, Karen. I can definitely prune the weeds to get rid of those stray up-shoots! Happy Thanksgiving! Ingrid |

Thanks, Darcy. Although I was not in a moving car for this one, I was in a stationary car, which limited my point of view somewhat, but I agree that it would be an improvement if the top of the fence posts were lower. Happy Thanksgiving! Ingrid |

Hi Kamal. I'm always amazed by the scenes that you are able to capture as you are flying over in a helocoptor, and I appreciate your explanations as well. The four fishing vessels look like they are executing a precise synchronized swimming exibition. I agree that it would be beneficial if you could recover some of the detail of the boats, but the composition and texture of the water is wonderful, as well as the dark swirly pattern under the boats. Do you know if those are schools of fish or vegetation? They do a great job of creating helping to unify the overall composition. The birds are an added bonus! |

Hi Xiao. This a very nice portrait and your recovery of the detail on the model's face and clothing is well done. I agree with the other's comments about cropping closer to bring more attention to the model and reduce the empty space of the sky and water. Happy Thanksgiving! |

Hi Tom. I am very impressed by the amount of planning that went into this image. You definitely were on a mission and have accomplished your goal. Your creation of the steam is very effective and realistic. I agree with the cropping suggestion to remove the pole and graffiti on the left. What a gorgeous engine and your post processing has really enhanced its presentation. |

Hi Greg. What a great memory for your grandson. The way you have managed the lighting is excellent and really makes your grandson the subject of the image and all of the other players just supporting cast members to create the tension of the moment. I agree that it would be beneficial to eliminate some of the haloing, but I don't know what you can do about the black foot since it appears to be your grandson's foot and rather necessary. I also agree about removing the loose elbow on the right edge. What a great Holiday gift this would be for you grandson and his parents! Happy Thanksgiving! |

Hi Darcy. I would haved loved to see this amazing poppy field. You have done an excellent job of capturing the color and beauty of these blooms and I love the sharpness of the flowers in the foreground fading off in blurryness to the rear. Personally, I like your original with the flowers in focus on the left. One thing you might try, would be to crop the image just to the right of the last bud in focus in the lower middle, so that the flowers in focus run the length of the foreground. |

Thanks, David. I tried shooting the flower both ways, with the shadows and without, but I liked the quality of the light on the left when the sun was hitting it. Maybe I should try to combine the two images to keep the sun on the left and eliminate the shadows on the right? Happy Thanksgiving, Ingrid |

Both cropped versions are beautiful, but I think I prefer the colored version because it is so vibrant. Your IPhone did do a great job. |

Shirley, I also like the original best and feel that the water droplets are amazing and completely lost on the textured version. I also agree that darkening the background would help emphasize the beautiful flowers. The diagonal composition is effective and your focus on the bottom flowers is great. |

Marti, you have done a fantastic job of pulling this beautiful flower out of the background and making it pop. I agree that creating a little space between the leaves and the edge of the frame on the left would benefit the composition. But, overall, I think this is a great image. |

What a gorgeous flower and the sharpness is amazing showing the intricate patterns of the flower's center. I'm impressed that you were able to change the background and still maintain the detail of the filaments coming off of the stem. Stretching the petals to make them more even was very beneficial to the flower's power. A slight vignette might help, but I love the image as is! |

This is an excellent minimalist image and I love the unusual perspective. I actually like the fact that the stem is not coming right from the corner. I prefer the blue sky with the slight hint of the cloud. I agree that it could be a little less aqua - you could try adjusting the blue hue in Camera Raw or Lightroom. |

This is a beautiful image. I love the contrasting colors and the contrast between the very sharp center and the dreamy petals surrounding the center. I think Linda's suggestion of darkening the outside petals was a benefit. |
