Hi Kamal. This is a great image and really tells the story of this event, while also creating an interesting and colorful composition. Your angle above the scene has allowed you to really capture the moment in an effective way. I love that you have placed the banner at across the bottom of the frame. Although I can't understand it, I'm guessing that it explains the event. The perspective of the crowd getting smaller and smaller in the distance creates an excellent depth to the image and emphasizes the very large size of the crowd. The masks through the scene are a unifying feature and are very interesting. Thanks so much for allowing us to experience this inspiring event! |

Hi Xiao. I think this is a very effective image and I do like the filter you have applied, even though it makes the shadows very high contrast. It gives the image an edgy feel which I find interesting. I especially like the reflection of the model's bag in the window. Your model looks very relaxed and comfortable basking in the sun. |

Hi Tom. You've taken an interesting, but static, location and converted into a more dramatic and lively composition. The lighting effects that you have created are amazing and greatly enhance the image. The diagonal composition also adds to the interest and keeps the eye moving around the frame. My only suggestions are to desaturate the greenish object on the shelf under the bench and to darken the the right hand edge of the image to be less attention grabbing. I'll bet you had fun working on this image, and I think you've done a great job! |

Hi Greg. I'll bet your model would have preferred to have her photo taken in the great scene in which you placed her. I feel that her placement in the frame is where she should be and flipping her horizontally to have her facing into the scene was also an excellent choice. I agree that a little softening of the model's edges would help unify the image and make it more realistic. Initially, I preferred the color version, but I agree that the people on the left are less distracting on the b/w version. |

Hi Darcy. I love the vibrant color and the composition of this image. The framing of the bird by the plant is very effective. The square crop was also a good choice. The softness gives the image a very painterly feel, which I personally think is successful. The only thing I would try to fix is the halo around the bird and some of the leaves. Luckily the sky should be relatively easy to select since the delineation is so clear and then you could easily clone out the halos. Thanks for sharing this cheerful scene! |

Hi Karen. Thanks for sharing this image. I love old dilapidated buildings. I think you have definitely more than satisfied your camera club's assigned subject. I like your crop and your decision to convert to b/w was successful as well. I feel that the current exposure is effective at emphasizing the abandoned feel, and that there is enough detail in the railings, etc. My only suggestion: Since the crop made the image very vertical, you might try using the distort tool in PS to drag it to a wider size while still maintaining the composition. |
