I'm fixing the graininess since it seems to be a consensus. I'm currently putting together my 75mph collection. I'd be glad to send you a link if you want to email me ingridlock@gmail.com |

Thanks, Darcy. I'm always amazed when I download the image I've shot at speed and find good compositions that are actually in focus. :) ingrid |

Thanks, Greg. Didn't resize it, but definitely got carried away with the texture slider, so I'm grateful for your comments. Ingrid |

Thanks Xiao. I think I agree with you about the graininess and I will put some more work into the image before displaying it elsewhere. Ingrid |

This is a very well done photo-journalistic image and captures the action and atmosphere very well. Your focus on the sign and the protesters near it is very effective. The blurring of the crowds in the distance really emphasizes the depth and size of the crowd. I agree that darkening the two bright white spots would be an improvement, but I think that overall it is a very successful image and records the event well. Maybe the man taking the photo has it on reverse mode and is actually taking a selfie with the sign as a background...... Thanks for telling us this story. Ingrid |

This is a very natural pose and shows off the model's outfit nicely. I love the textures of the building and the leading lines of the stone work bring the eye to the model. My choice would be Original 2, where the colors are a little more muted and calm. The reflection of the vehicle in the window takes attention away from the model and, if it were mine, I would definitely darken it or clone it out, especially the splash of pink. All in all, I think this is a successful image and I can see it in a glossy magazine advertisement. Ingrid |

What a beautiful creature! My first thought was that the image should be rotated 90 degrees counter clockwise, but looking more closely I can see that he is launching downwards. I love the say you have the bird in clear focus, the branches a bit less so and the distance completely out of focus. It works well the bring the viewer's attention to the bird with no distractions. I love the color palette and the gleam in the parrot's eye. You captured this very well. Thanks for sharing. Ingrid |

I have seen many photos of this scene and I think yours is one of the best. I love the framing of the mountain in the distance and the contrast between the blue of the sky and the orange of the rocks. You did a great job of revealing the texture of the arch even when in the shade. Although a person in the frame would give a clearer idea of the scale, I like it without a human presence. Thanks for sharing this successful image. Ingrid |

I grew up in the Boston area and never encountered this amazing ship, so thank you for sharing it and providing the wonderful history. Your choice of capturing this vessel head on is very successful and, as noted by others, really emphasizes its slender streamlined shape. I agree that darkening the sky and water makes the image more dramatic and foreboding, but I would probably try it with the sky not quite as dark. I think the black and white treatment is definitely effective. Thanks! Ingrid |

Hi Karen. I love the moment you captured in this image. Those dogs really look like they are engaged in the action and having a jolly old time. It definitely made me smile. I think the composition is well done and you definitely caught the action. I agree that the bright fence as opposed to the dogs in shadow takes the eye away from the action and the image would be improved if you could lower the light in the background and increase it a bit on the dogs, if it could be done without looking artificial. Happy New Year! Ingrid |
