Hi Syed. Thank you so much for sharing this very poignant image and for providing such a detailed description of the circumstances behind it. I think this is a very successful photo journalistic image. It is well composed and well exposed. I agree that it also works well in black and white, and that the little smiles that you caught really enrich the image. |

This is a very engaging image, and I think your crop and color enhancement of the background really improved the image. I'd love to know what is on the phone screen that makes the model so cheerful. I think that this image tells a great story and you should be very pleased with your post-processing as well.
Happy Holidays! |

Hi Tom. I'm very impressed that you got in the middle of the river to take this shot! The morning light on the horses is beautiful and really makes them stand out from their surroundings. The focus on the horses is consistent throughout, which I really like. Although I agree that removing the horse's butt would be an improvement, I didn't even notice it until it was pointed out by Greg. Thanks for sharing this action packed moment in time. And Happy Holidays! |

hi Greg. This is a very vibrant image and definitely conjures the feeling of Christmas cheer. I think the pose and the vignette work well to bring attention to the subjects. I especially like the smudge filter treatment on the tree but I agree with Tom, that it might be better to not apply the treatment to the models' skin. I think this a very successful image! Merry Christmas!f |
