I was going thru the September photos of groups and came across your photo. This picture was taken in 2013 during a visit to California National Parks. My wife was sending it to her uncle who had sent her a similar photo of himself sitting on this car's fender 30 years earlier. I thought you might appreciate it. We stopped in Bodie on the advice of her uncle. |

Hi Jerry,
Just checking out your photo of boathouse row. Looking at the B&W and the color. I like them both....they are really nice shots. Love what you were able to do with the B&W. When my oldest daughter was in college she rowed for LaSalle. |

Steven,
They say three is the best number of similar items in a photo. However, this is an exception to THAT rule. Great shot of the birds. I'm an Air Force retired person and having been at these shows and taken pictures you have taken a great photo. I can also tell you that the other planes follow the lead plane and if he goes into the drink they go with him. |

Hi Charles,
Yes, I think it makes the photo look somewhat better overall.
I must confess that the photo itself does not excite me in the least. I am extremely anxious to get out to someplace where I can take some more exciting photos, like out west. |

Hi Charles,
Thank you for your recommendations. I have made the changes and present the edited image for your review. In replacement of the sky I did not want to give it a bright blue tone as it might take away from the main view of the photo. |

Hi Louis,
Your photo has captured that moment of the sunrise with the silhouette of the city. The leading waterways take you through the photo to the city, which has not yet awakened.
The colors are strong and present a very nice composition along with the barren foreground and city in the background.
Very nice composition. |

Rich,
The edit to remove the car was so much easier then I thought. A new program I just bought InPixio removed the car and placed fencing in its place. It was something I thought I should share with you and the members of the group. |

Rich,
You have captured a very vibrant and rich image, from a somewhat dull one. The people add a very important part of the photo giving it a sense of life. The moss on the poles looks like little monsters climbing up to the pier. A very captivating image. I only find two things a bit distracting. The car and the radio tower. I'm going to see if I can remove them and see what the image looks like. The car is going to be difficult to remove. Let me know if you would like to see the results. |

Hi Sanat,
A very dynamic photo in which you composed it to have the hills of each side lead you to the mountains. The clouds as you have captured them certainly give the photo impact.
You have also kept the two houses on the right side which shows the life of the local people which, I always feel is a compliment to a photo. The red house is a compliment but the other house seems to be somewhat of a distraction. Possibly removing it may enhance the overall composition of the photo. |

You got to be in Iceland to take the picture and remember the beauty of the scene. I only got to edit a photo.
Your the lucky the man. |

Hi Rich,
Thank you for your review and comments. I would heartily agree that the photo is too saturated and makes it look unreal. I also should have removed that part of the tree. You should never leave half a tree at the edge of a photo.
I have adjusted the saturation and removed the tree in the photo below.
Thank you for your feedback. |

Hi Quang, your photo certainly depicts the Easter State Prison as it is now. I have been inside on several occasions since they opened it to the public. I also lived across the street from the prison when I was about 9 and we could go into the front gate and look at things the prisoners made and could sell. They also made Pennsylvania License Plates for the state. One of my uncles was an inmate for several years. He was the boxing champion of the prison during his time. He would never visit the prison after it opened to the public. It was a very cruel and dangerous place according to people who I knew who were inmates. The guards "screws" as the inmates called them were not people to mess with for any reason. |

Your photo of the Vatnajökull Ice Cap is a fine composition of the scene. As you mention getting the water into the foreground dramatically has an outcome on the size and features of the mountains. It seems it could be more of a photo of the water than the ice Cap. The clouds were in a position that affected the overall viewing perspective. I fooled around and made a slight crop and flipped the scene to see how that might make looking at it more natural from left to right. Even with your comments I like the way your captured the scene, clouds and all. |
