(Group 88)Hello
This is a Buckeye Butterfly ( Brushfoots). Junonia Coenia Species. The easy way to tell a moth from a butterfly is Butterflies have rounded nodules at the end of their antennae. Moths are flatter. I'm no expert but lets give this beautiful butterfly it's due. Posted: 08/22/2021 12:52:04

I was able to remove the sign from the pond and also painted the stairway gold to go in line with the song. "Stairway to Heaven"

88 Aug 21 Reply I was interested in removing the sign to see how it would change the dimension of the photo. Aug 21st

88 Aug 21 Comment HI Louis
Very nice photograph. Not an easy thing to accomplish to say the least. The milky way itself is something that requires much effort to capture in the right way. You have certainly done it here. I was wondering exactly where the photo was taken and what time did you find to be the best.
Did you shot this near the High Island Reservoir?
I have heard this is a great location to capture the milky way. Again thank you for a great photo.

88 Aug 21 Comment Hi Sanat,
A very engrossing nature photo. The multitude of animals and the lines of the photo are very well placed. The vastness of the animals gives the photo-real dynamics. Do you think brightening the middle areas a little would add anything to the overall appearance?

88 Aug 21 Comment Hi Quang,
Very nice shot of the bridge with a dynamic perspective on the leading up to the top. I think the traffic bridge also adds something to the composition, along with the people.
It's a shame they weren't having a 5K race over the bridge.
I might have done a little more with the sky to keep the viewer looking forward. I've never been accused of under editing a photo. Very nice shot.
I was there in Clearwater during Baseball Spring Training this year. Great area.

88 Aug 21 Comment Hi Rich,
I was immediately drawn to the crashing waves and the mist giving the entire photo a sense of the drama of the power of the ocean. The fact of it being in an insolated area amplifies that feeling of the power of nature. You also caught the birds(maybe by happenstance) which adds to the photo. PS. I will be on the CA coast in October for vacation.

88 Aug 21 Reply Hi Rich,
Thank you and Charles for your observation and recommendation regarding the sky. I've done a quick remake with a new file. The old file wouldn't handle the attempt to add a new sky. Thanks again for your recommendations. I always appreciate other peoples input.

88 Aug 21 Reply Charles,
Thank you very much for your observation and comment. I'm doing a remake of the image and post with a new sky. The sky used was the original. The new sky is from Luminar AI.
However, I had to do a quick remake of the photo because the original wouldn't handle the new sky appropriately.

88 Aug 21 Comment Hi Charles,
I find your choice of B&W for this photo to be very interesting and attractive in the perspective of an overall dynamic view of the beach, cliffs, stone trolls. I was visually taken from the beach along the surf to the cliffs and trolls. I did not find the area in the left foreground to be distracting and only really noticed it after the fact as I continued to look at the photo. I compliment you on a very interesting perspective. I would love to see this scene in color just for the great view it probably presentes. Thank you

88 Aug 21 Comment Hi Trey,
I really like the composition you have given this photograph. The line of the corn against the background and the trees on the right keeps directing you to the sunset.
The color blending of the sky is really beautiful.
In looking at the original you must have taken a bit of time to bring out the beauty, but you did.
My only comment would be to possibly make the corn a little brighter to show some detail, but I'm not sure if that would take away from the sunset.
A very nice photograph anyway you look at it. Thank you.

93 Aug 21 Comment Hi Michael,
First, let me say that NOBODY deserves to live that close to two great national parks as you do. Your photo opportunities are endless. I envy you greatly.
I think your photo is excellent in all aspects. The composition is wonderful showing the life around the mountains. The only thing I would consider would be to straighten the line of the mountains.
Wonderful image....
