64 Jun 21 Comment Jerry,
Thanks for letting me know you are involved with PSA as am I.
This is a very sharp, clear, and interesting image. I love night photography, especially with the wetness after rain. It really brings out another dimension of the photo. I love the wet foreground area leading to the building.
Excellent photo.

Thank you for your review and recommendations. I must admit I left the orange sign and the people in the photograph on purpose. Especially the people. I always like to have people in the type of a photo to give it some humanity. The orange sign I felt gave it some sense of being a nautical venue. You know, Red Right Return. However, your recommendations are very noteworthy.

88 Jun 21 Comment Quang ,
The sky colors are very strong and give a great framing for the shack. I presume the female figure on the steps is your subject captured well and in focus which draws my eyes to her. The people in the background being out of focus helps the subject.
I don't have any clear opinion of the birds being in focus.
A very pleasant image to view and enjoy.
Thank you

88 Jun 21 Comment Very compelling image showing the world very different from where I live. Your use of the river to guide through the photo is very good. I wonder if the apparent misty conditions are necessary to produce the true representation of the town? A very dynamic picture.
If not you might have edited to reduce the haze effect.
Thank you for a very nice photo.

Excellent nightscape of the glowing city. These are always tricky to capture. But you not only did a great job of capturing the image...you did it on film. You have my respect and admiration. Thank you for a most fascinating photo.

Nature is the essence of photography in my mind. This photo goes to that essence with the vivid colors and composition.
Capturing that birch and setting it as the subject is a great way to make it all work. I like the foreground grass which gives the photo some great depth. I can see the use of AI to lighten the Birch. I use AI myself and am trying to master the program...note I said trying.Very nice photograph.

Thank you kindly for your evaluation and feedback.
I took the photo from a moving boat while traveling down the Hudson River. The lighthouse sits alone in the middle of the entrance to Hudson from another river. Nothing to provide a leading line. I tend to over colorize photographs. I just love bright scenes of color and nature. It makes the scene less than realistic. Thanks again.

88 Jun 21 Reply Hi Quang,
Thank you for your excellent evaluation of my photograph.
Your idea of haze and blending the sky is something I will attempt on this photo to see how well it works.
This photo was taken from a boat as we passed the lighthouse on the Hudson River. It was not the best platform to take a picture. I just this past week went back again on another boat cruise past this lighthouse and took some more photos.
This tide was our and photos were not of the same composition like this one and were lacking.

I look at this and see a very unique blending of photography and art as mentioned by Charles Walker. The technique you describe was introduced into our camera club by a guest speaker last year. I've tried it a bit, but have not had anywhere near the success you have found. I like what I see. It's very pleasing to the eye.

88 Jun 21 Comment Charles, very bright and fine photo of a sailing ship. Cleaning up the sails put just the amount of color contrast with the water and sky. I noticed after Rich's comment that the horizon was a little off but easily corrected. This is the type of picture you might hang over your fireplace.
Very nice colors, clean shot of the ship. Thanks for the opportunity to review your photo.

Thank you for your review and comments regarding my Huson River Lighthouse Photo. I love my little Coolpix 7100 camera and used it all over the world on trips. It's my main backup and when I'm feeling lazy. The photo as you know was edited in Luminar AI, which is my go-to program. I do tend to over-edit photos to get a rich color. I'm a color junky.

88 Jun 21 Reply Rich, thanks for your review. I did wonder if there was too much water in the foreground, but let it go. And yes, I see the issue of cropping to get more focus on the subject. Thanks for your words they are greatly appreciated. Jun 3rd
