32 Dec 25 Comment We've been to Taos but don't remember seeing this mission church. You did a really good job of creating the starkness of the building -no embellishments at all. The base is so solid and bulbous and then the top corner shows a much lighter part with the tower and cross. Good quality of tones as well. I don't know the Ansel Adam's photo so I came to this one with no preconceived ideas. Dec 17th
32 Dec 25 Comment I understand your thinking to project abandonment but in terms of picture, I prefer the Wintry one produced by Ed, although I would have removed the tree on the left as you did. You need to have the fence in whichever one you go for. They both shout loneliness. Dec 17th
32 Dec 25 Comment This has worked really well -the symmetrical design is great. I might have cropped more at the bottom because I don't like the two bits at the corners-they would be easily cloned out. The grass has just caught the light so it sparkles. Lovely! Dec 17th
32 Dec 25 Comment I think I like the tilt reduced as in Tom's image. I'm not sure I like pictures of pylons although they are a feature of all landscapes worldwide. However, you've made a good image with this one with the sun directly behind it. Well done! Dec 17th
