I think this is brilliant! I have once or twice tried taking cyclists and it isn't easy. I like the bottom right corner which just has the foot and pedal and the lean of the group is perfect. They are so sharp -again not easy to do. Well done Wes! |

What an odd building! It is covered in rocks! I usually go for stark skies but I found the clouds took my attention away from the building somewhat. I tried cropping some of the sky off to make the building more prominent but I'm not sure whether it helped. It is better in mono because the windows are less obvious. |

I think I agree that the multitude of colours is better than the mono version. I think you've got the contrast about right and the number of bowls- it is a pattern picture after all so no one area is more important than any other area. I am impressed at the amount of work done by your wife to produce all these.
Incidentally I tried a Turkish quince recipe this week since we have a bumper crop of quince. Does your wife use quinces? |

I think this is wonderful! It has been reduced to the pure element of speed. Those horses are moving and the wind is blowing their manes. They give a feeling of enjoyment.
I can't decide whether I like the odd streaks in the bottom area or not. I don't think showing more of the legs and the surrounds works at all. |

You've got some really good detail brought back in the building and the vegetation in the foreground looks good. However, I think it is the sky which needs some help -it's all rather wishy-washy. You've brought back some differentiation but now it does need some increased contrast.
I wondered whether you could introduce a ghostly face in one of the windows! |

Ok so it looks like my ghost is wrong. I don't quite know how to create a ghost from a real person though!
I find shadows are very difficult to get right -somehow they end up too dark or not the right shape. The edges of things are also difficult-again I often just blur them a little to make them look part of the background. I'll work on it some more. |
