Yes I like the Kym version. When I had a go yesterday I couldn't get the same effect. I shall have to 'play' again. |

As you can see I had to crop after taking the shot because of the foreground space. I still can't make up my mind which is better. Thanks for the comment. |

I think it's the colour which makes it look good and that is what first attracted me.

So if he made his money during the war, why did it go downhill afterwards? Surely flour milling was still needed? |

I'm not a fan of so much white around the head, though the scrappiness of the torn edge is fine. I think you've lost detail in some of the white feathers on the head in both the colour and the mono. The mono loses the bright splodges in the background so it is better than the colour one. |

Good to know that there are some houses still in use even if not for family living. It is such an ornate building. Where did the original owners earn their money to be able to build like this? It works fine as a mono-clean and crisp. I barely noticed the fence line in front and I like the framing by the trees as well as the occupied sky. |

Good record shot and the conversion works well. It is bright and contrasty but showing details in the dark areas. I would make it the same distance on each side because here it just looks as if you didn't get it quite right. How annoying to be sent somewhere other than Tibet when you'd booked. |

I much prefer the colour version -those variations between pink and purple and magenta are beautiful. I find the mono a bit sludgy! i tried converting to mono using the various colour sliders to make changes and then I used curves to increase the contrast. It is still unbalanced left to right but the petals stand out well. |

Yes, I think you have improved it. I shall have a go with infra red effects and see if I can do the same as you. I'm still not sure whether I should stick with the colour because of the green. |
