Not sure I'm better at it than you! You have improved the texture already. |

I hadn't thought of that crop and yes, I like it. It adds height to the image. |

I like both the colour and the mono. Simple and clean. Well done. We will miss the pictures and the comments you have provided.
I know I've emailed you privately but here I'd like to say publicly how much we will miss your insight and your interesting take on our pictures as well as your many boxing shots and wide ranging images.

Very beautiful! I love the reflections. Could you lighten the odd shaped branches hanging in the middle of the picture. |

I think you've done a good job here. Not sure what to do about the white on his forehead -it show better on the colour as a painted area but looks odd on the mono. Otherwise good shot and exposure. |

I'm not sure this is strong enough yet. I think I would carry on and play with this image using Nik or topaz to alter it significantly. When I feel better I will have a go! |

I agree that the living branches need to be less dominant and I think going darker is the answer and that will also darken the sky as well, so the whole dead part automatically stands out better. I love the texture of the trunk -I'd be spending hours here taking photos and then not knowing which to use. So my next question is -have you got pictures of just the sprawling roots which would make a picture by themselves without the upright parts? |

Another of your excellent natural, candid portraits. I like the detail of the figure and the background, but I found areas on the face have become a bit shiny -just above his eyebrows and on his cheeks. Could you tone that down a little bit and then I think this is really good. The shiny table has good detail and I like the fact that he is still holding his mattock, as if he's just come in for a quick drink and then he's off out again to work. |
