Thank you Tom. I like what you have done to the image especially the flipping when the young devotee now faces inwards. I will use both your version and Butch's and get a feedback on both of them from my club members. Much appreciated. |

Thank you. Well quoted. That has been my endeavour....sometimes I succeed and sometimes I fail spectacularly....In this image I suspect I was somewhere in between. What you have stated and the recomposition that you have done is apt and I understand your view point read in light of the title of the image. Much appreciated. |

Thank you Barbara. This is the closest I could get as on the right there was the ceremonial table and other worshippers waiting for mass. I did not want to go too close as then the young subject may become conscious and I wanted a candid shot without her being disturbed. |

Hey Gaetan. Visually pleasing image. But I am a bit confused. The sun appears to be bright enough to cast a bright spot on the top left corner. You have stated that you used a ND filter and exposed it at 30s. So my question is what was the objective of using the filter? Did you want to smoothen the waters? Was the light very harsh? Would like to understand your reason. Many thanks. |

You nailed it Butch, particularly with the shutter speed and that too hand held. The image gives the right amount of notion of speed in the blades, lovely blue sky bringing some cheer to the image. You have maintained a good aspect ratio to give an idea of the size of the landscape. Great job. I would not change anything. |

Hey Barbara. Partly agree with Butch, Gaetan and Tom. A couple of things have been drummed into me ever since I became a serious photo enthusiast as regards nature and wild life. Sharpness is one thing, detail another and natural history the third. The image could do with just a wee bit sharpness and perhaps a reduction in the highlights to bring out the details in the back of the Pelican. The upper part is perfect and in focus. The natural history is great and love the gold in the water. Finally would you have an improved image if you had gone a wee bit lower to give a less top down approach? Forgetting all of what I have said above as a photographer, I love the harmony in the image and if an image makes me look at it for more than 15 seconds, it has achieved its objective. Very well done. |

Great job Tomi. All the points raised by Butch, Gaetan and Tom are valid and in place. With wild life one generally gets dealt a.....wild card !!. You are lucky you got this shot with the bison turning around to tell you "Ok...one image...don't push it !!!"" I do not have a single image of a bison looking straight at me when I was at Yellow stone in 2017 (time to revisit but perhaps in the winter). Well done Tomi. |

Wow Tom, what an image. Those weathered structures, the fall colours, the dramatic clouds, the subdued light all come together so beautifully. Wants one to reach out and say pat the structure just to feel it. Would I change anything, maybe a bit of foreground so that the major subject is not so close to the edge. So if you have more space it would perhaps enhance the image a bit....but if you do not, I would not make any further changes. Very well done indeed. |
