Thank you Tomi. But as I stated earlier I barely did any processing. What you see in the image is what it was when I shot it. Variations in the colour is as per the age of the ice is what I was told. I would certainly like to revisit Alaska. |

Thank you Tom. Yes I noticed the bird but it is so small that it does not serve the purpose of another object to lend perspective to the size of the image. I was just glad to witness it and thankful that I could photograph it. It was freezing and I am not sure I would have been able to stand any longer in the open without somethings including my fingers freezing over. |

Wow this one is a stopper. Completely understand how you planned in advance with where you wanted to be and what you wanted to shoot. I had to do the same last year when I shot the Theyyam festival in Kerala, India. The planning shows in the image and the red colour was the cherry on the cake. Very well done. How do I get my hands on your presentation "Beyond the Rule of Thirds...."?? Would love to watch it and learn. Thank you for posting this lovely image. |

Wow quick thinking and quicker execution. Just learnt something. That tilt that Gaetan is referring to can perhaps be corrected. It is barely noticeable against the beauty of the image. I like what Tom and Barbara have done to enhance the image. Super shot Gaetan. |

One of the most important things in photography is to "see" before we shoot. You do have a gift of seeing and then converting it into a great shot. Am glad that you found "her". You have just immortalised her and she will always be present. Perhaps pure mono may have more impact but I am picking at straws here. Good work by Tom in removing that peeping window on the left. Great job Judith. Next time you are on a break I would like to accompany you to "see" other such things and learn !!!! |

Nice shot Tomi. And you were very lucky to spot such a majestic bird in its environment. We, based out of the US, can only dream of this. You did justice to the bird. Well done. |

Lovely image Tom. Sometimes the simplest of images are the best. Honestly when I first saw the image I was in two minds. Was the second boat an enhancer or diminisher? After viewing Butch's image I am still not sure !!!. It is one of those things. But love the colours and the settings. Perhaps you wanted more depth when you set it to F14? Whatever it was you got a great image. What can be more satisfying than that? |
