Thank you Tomi. Yes these onlookers with their omni present mobile phones do take away a genuine experience and nothing to the image. But we learn to live with them and do our best to exclude them. Will see what I can do about them in the image. |

Thank you Barbara. Noted your suggestion as regards the white bright spot on the top. I too will remove it. |

Thank you Tom. The white blobs in the upper right are garlands and flowers which are part of the religious decor so I retained it especially if I use it as a travel image. Thank you for your kind words. Much appreciated. |

I am so glad you tried something different and did a great job of it. Rules are made so they can be broken....and in art opinions are so subjective so I really would not worry too much about the opinions of others as long as it brings you joy. Imagine Da Vinci or Michael Angelo had to run their fabulous creations past others...? We would never ever have been able to see The Mona Lisa or the Pieta or David or the Sistine chapel. Your image on the whole is great and I like what Tom and Judith did. I would not change anything...and never mind the standard photo exhibit...they have a lot of growing up to do!!! |

Wow Judith you did it again.Super image. You mentioned that you lit the flowers with a torch. Was that one torch or two and did you shoot both the flowers together or separately and then brought them together? I ask as I do not understand how you achieved more or less the same level of brightness on both flowers? very well done indeed. Love the ghost of the vase in the image!! |

Great shot Barbara. The low angle and the soft morning light trick did the trick. Great job in throwing the background out and the direction of movement is perfect. I do not have my regular computer with me with PS on it or I would have slightly lightened the back of the rabbit though the emphasis is on its face. Good luck with the county fair. |

Generally a portrait image in nature scores low. But you caught the bird at the right time with a fantastic show of its feathers, wings and beautiful face. The image is sharp and the colours natural. I agree with Tom and Butch on the flipping of the image but not necessarily because we read from left to right!!(Arabic is read from right to left and so is Persian and Urdu!!) Judith did a good job of lightening the area near te eyes. Congratulations on winning the contest. Great image. |

Well spotted and shot Tom. Most of my thoughts have already been penned by the others. My only query was with ISO 400 and aperture at F6.3 why did you get a slow shutter speed? Perhaps light was a challenge? You did a good job of holding the camera steady at that speed. The greenery in the image is so soothing especially for some of us residing in the Middle East!!! |
