Thank you Tom. The poor fish had no chance. The bird swallows it head down first and hence the spike aligns with the body and does not hamper the bird in any way. Was gone in a shot. |

A super concept Butch. Loved the effort that you have put in creating the image. The play of light is very good. Since the main subject is the violin I played around a bit in PS, increased the sharpness and modified the background a bit to give complete attention to the violin whilst maintaining the shadows and the play of light on the music sheet. You created a super image. |

Hey Judith, your usual amazing image with still life. You never cease to amaze. I like the various effects that you have given to the image. But it seems to take away from the main subject. The flowers are great with so much colour and detail in their petals and the background actually distracted me. I played around a bit with the colour and lighting and tried to bring back the focus on the flowers. Individual perception is such a wonderful thing. All of us saw the same image differently. That is also what I love about photography. Well done. Super image. |

A timely shot Barbara. Agree with most comments made by others. Monochrome appears to enhance the image and so does the elimination of the two static birds. I also like the direction of movement. A bit more sharpness would have improved the image. |

Hi Tomi. Very nice portrait. The action is genuine and eye catching. I agree with Butch and Tom that a little bit of cropping would enhance the image. So I darkened the background a bit, cropped the image so that the focal point in the image is the artist's face, his hands and the violin and everything else only a prop. So I darkened his cap too and improved the light on his face a wee bit. |

What a nice photo journalism image Tom. Just the right touch of history, characterisation, good colour, sharp image and the right ambience. But the pillar bothered me and kept drawing my attention. So I removed it to stop the distraction. Overall a very pleasing image. |
