7 Dec 24 Reply Thank you Gaetan. The bird is much improved after you added the contrast and removed negative space. Much appreciated. Dec 20th

7 Dec 24 Reply Thank you Butch for your detailed response. Much appreciated. I entered this in a couple of salons and await to find out how it fares. Fingers crossed. Dec 20th
7 Dec 24 Comment Gaetan you got the colours and the setting sun moment right. The man made objects do not add anything and agree with Butch's recomposition. Also agree with Tom's comment of the border or the blacks of the image would have fused with that of dark background of the website. Well done. Dec 20th
7 Dec 24 Comment Amazing image. The expression on the face, the freezing of the dropping water, the bright colours of the fire in the background and yet well lit face of an exhausted fire fighter have all come together very nicely. I just adjusted the contrast a bit to bring out the black in his uniform. Very well done indeed. I hope you will enter it in a salon or competition. Dec 20th
7 Dec 24 Comment Hi Judith you did well with spotting the subject and highlighting the lady on her way back. I can easily see the Christmas spirit in her dress and the red "present" that she is carrying for family or a loved one. I modified the image very slightly, cropped it a bit and sharpened the slightly out of focus shoe. I hope you like it. Dec 20th
7 Dec 24 Comment Hi Barbara,

Excellent attempt. Birds in flight is one of the most difficult genres and you have done well. Whilst some softness is acceptable to showcase motion the softness in your image is a bit on the higher side. Also Topaz appears to have over-sharpened the image making it a bit blown out specially at the wing tips. You get the eyes sharp. The white portion on the head of the bird can also be burned a bit. Well done.

7 Dec 24 Comment Welcome to the group Tomi. You did well in capturing the bird in motion. I agree with most of the comments from the others. I increased the contrast a bit, played around with the lighting and removed part of the branches. I hope you like it. Dec 20th
7 Dec 24 Comment It is a very interesting subject that you noticed and captured. Most of us would have missed it. I like how you have highlighted the sand to contrast against the driftwood. Perhaps a bit higher contrast and saturation would enhance the driftwood. Well spotted Tom. Dec 20th
