Sorry Judith if you found her legs hairy...also that she is very thin...and anorexic. She is a professional dance instructor along with her husband who also poses for photographers. I suspect hours of dancing each day keeps her slim and I would lets say not go to a plump well rounded dance instructor especially if I was learning one of the Latin American dances (Salsa, Samba, Ramba, Cha-Cha..!!! I agree on the fabric bit that would be a variation on the theme of lighting...Neither the choice of model nor the lighting was in my control. We did make suggestions, chief amongst which was back lighting to highlight her hair. Will try darkening the "white area" as suggested to add to the tonality. Thank you for your inputs. Much appreciated |

Thank you Tom. Yes, I do have images where she has a fabric partly covering her to enhance the image. I chose this image purely for the lighting bit. |

Thank you Gaetan. First for me too. I live in a very conservative country and do not get such occasions often. |

Thank you Butch. The distorted leg is on account of the lighting which only partly exposes her leg. The slight lighting up of her foot at the rear of the image is on account of the back lights. I have hundreds of other such images in different poses so will look for something that avoids the above issue. |

Well done Gaetan. My question is did you intend to have all the elements in the image sharp? Did you want to show the human elements in sharp focus with the cycle a bit blurred? Or was the cycle the main object and to include the humans a bit out of focus to highlight the street scene? Accordingly you can blur out the background or foreground to focus on either of these two subjects and yet maintain an interest in both. Love the colours in the image. |

Very interesting. I would only increase the contrast a bit to get more out of the black portion of the pebble and may be a bit of the shadow. Simple but very impactful image. |

Wow, it has been some time that I saw a film image. I still have a couple of undeveloped rolls...You did a fine job of conversion to digital. Agree with Judith on the magenta cast. I would also brighten the image in the foreground to bring out the details and also add a bit of contrast to increase the punch. Overall a very good image. Love the textures. |

I agree with most of the comments made earlier. Wildlife can be challenging at most times but the advantage you had was that this was shot in a zoo and perhaps offers you a chance to give it another go. I would go down and try and include the rest of the body as this is a rare species and if you can show more of it, will make the image very impactful. I generally do not like to tamper much when it comes to wildlife so with minimum processing it is possible to get a good image if the scene was shot properly in the field. |

Tom, you captured the image brilliantly and the contrast between the white of the snow and the red of the hydrant. Simple but effective. Nothing to distract but envelopes all the major ingredients. Excellent image. |
