Nicely done Judith. Agree with Butch's comment and what he did with the image. Not sure why the bent stem bothered you. That is nature and we accept it the way it is. And the diagonal bit as presented by Butch actually feels more harmonious. But that is the art that is photography. There really is no right or wrong. I thoroughly enjoyed the image. Well done. I was wondering if increasing the vibrance in the image would make it pop out a bit more? |

Hey Butch. A very warm welcome to our group. So good to have you with us. Where do I even begin this narrative. I visited Mara during Covid in 2021 and it is like no other. Every photographer must visit Mara atleast once in their lifetime or the photographic journey is not complete...!!! Spurred by Mara, we then visited Botswana and the two are so different. Next week my wife and I embark to Tanzania....once Africa gets into your system it is difficult to resist its lure. Your image is amazing. We experienced the same situation that you mentioned in your narrative to the extent that the game rangers in Mara had to finally ask all the vehicles to make way for the animals to cross !!. Whilst I have a couple of images they are nowhere near what you have posted. The dust top and the movement portrayed is superb. Take a bow my friend. Very well done. I would not change anything. |
