Excellent image Barbara. Did you replace the background? What was in the background originally? The white background brings complete focus on the sharpness of the bird and the very interesting subject matter and was wondering if some background would have enhanced the image and put it in a natural environment? Would love your thoughts on this. |

Thank you Tom M. You presented a point of view I did not think about, for the better I must admit and as endorsed by the others. It vastly improves the image. Thank you Tony T, Rich and Paul for your comments. I must share this with all you. I participated in two salons with this image and it was accepted in one salon. My other Mara pictures received 26 acceptances and 4 awards so I am happy. I hope to continue to learn from all of you experienced friends and improve my skills. Thank you. |

Tom, you set me thinking on this one. You see things I would have completely overlooked. I liked the framing of the door and the vines creeping into the door. Nice. Can you try converting this image to monochrome and see if it is enhanced? |

Super image. Would not change a thing in the composition or the lighting. Is there a minor Vertical Tilt that I notice? Perhaps PS may be able to tell you. Overall a very pleasing image. |

Nice image Tony. I note that you have space on the right in the original image. So whilst you have cropped the peaks, some more space on the right would have added to the direction of movement of the jets whilst preserving the plumes from each aircraft. Perhaps a little more space at the bottom would also balance the image. |

I like the contrast of the tree trunks against the white background. With a smaller aperture you may have got more of the background as the tree trunk and green foliage now dominate the image. Overall, a pleasing image. |
