7 Jun 21 Comment Hey Grace. Good to know we share a profession. We are lucky that we can go to office here in the UAE. Good luck to all of us with this Covid business. It has really dragged on too long.

I too like Maiden 2. The understated lighting and sepia does it for me though I also enjoy monochrome but only in portraits and in some classic imagery. Good work. I need to improve my PS skills to undertake something like what you have achieved.

7 Jun 21 Comment Good image Barbara. Excellent play of light on the owl's head. Most of what I wanted to say has already been commented upon. Maybe a tad bit of colour saturation would bring out the colours more? Jun 30th
7 Jun 21 Reply Thank you Tony. Your image is stunning. If you have many more of these, perhaps you can make a panel. Good luck. Jun 30th
7 Jun 21 Reply Thank you Barbara. The sepia colour was a bonus. The morning turned out quite different from what we were expecting- in a pleasant sort of way. I will post camel silhouettes in July as I reside in a desert !!!. Let me know your thoughts on that image. Thank you. Jun 30th
7 Jun 21 Reply Thank you Paul. Much appreciated. Children bring their own innocent charm to any image. Jun 30th
7 Jun 21 Reply Thank you Tom. It certainly has brought warmth to the image and made it more impactful. Will try out the warming filters on other images and the border was a great idea. Thank you. Jun 22nd
7 Jun 21 Reply Thank you Rich. You are right, it was not all happenstance. We were in the desert as a group and the children were accompanying us as a day out from restrictions of Covid. The added bonus was the dramatic sky as it hardly ever rains here in the UAE and to have the kids with us who wanted to play in the dunes and just do some activity. So we asked them to walk and generally be out and about and we were lucky to have the light and the clouds. Thank you for your kind remarks. Jun 22nd
7 Jun 21 Reply Thank you Tom. I will certainly try and increase the saturation selectively of the clouds. Not sure I am still that skilled at Photoshop but certainly going to give it a shot. Thank you for your constructive feedback. Much appreciated. Jun 9th
7 Jun 21 Reply Thank you Rich for your warm welcome. Much appreciated. Jun 7th
7 Jun 21 Reply Thank you for your warm welcome Tony. I look forward to continued interaction with you and learning from you. Jun 7th
7 Jun 21 Reply Thank you very much Jack. It is very heartening to get encouraging remarks such as yours. But please feel free to be brutally honest on my future posts if you believe the images are not up to scratch and I can learn from suggestions, tips and recommendations. I look forward to your continued inputs on my future posts. Thank you. Jun 7th
7 Jun 21 Reply Wow Stephen, that was very illuminating. Obviously you have a wide knowledge of iconic images. I am very humbled that you compared my image to that of Mr. Edward Steichen. "I have miles to go before I sleep" on my photographic journey and I hope to learn much from informed and experienced individuals such as you. I look forward to your comments on my future posts. Meanwhile, all the best and stay safe. Jun 7th
7 Jun 21 Comment Excellent composition. Perhaps the car on the right could have been fully included? Then would perhaps have achieved 16:9 ratio rather than the square? Like the cheerfulness of the image and the sharpness. Jun 4th
7 Jun 21 Comment Hello Paul, the blue skies do convey a cold afternoon. Starkness of the trees brought out very well. Perhaps the background on the left a bit over exposed? Jun 4th
7 Jun 21 Comment Excellent play of light. Background a bit distracting but the eye is quickly drawn to the budding flower and dragonfly. Not sure if a bit of saturation and vibrance would help to brighten the image just a wee bit? I liked that the original image followed the rule of thirds which is lost in the latest image? Jun 4th
7 Jun 21 Comment Really sharp image Rich. Great job with blurring the background. Would have loved to see the full bird with the perch. Image increased my curiosity to know more about the bird. Jun 4th
