99 Nov 21 Comment Randy, Hats off to you. This is a beautiful well lit image. By removing the distracting colour you have brought out the textures and shape of the petals and it works brilliantly.

99 Nov 21 Comment Michael, Lovely image this scene works well as a mono. The rocks are lovely and dark and textured and work well against the white splashes of the waves. I agree with Gerard about the lower section and the sky does blend better blurred. I give you full marks for braving the wind and sea spray to get this shot. Nov 6th
99 Nov 21 Comment Linda, Love your image. It is definitely telling the story you wanted it to. I agree with Michael with the toning to add warmth to the image. I don't agree that the woman should be there. To me she is bright and my eye goes to her. I don't think she adds but distracts. I do love these old time reenactments. Hopefully I am going to one here this month and can't wait. Nov 6th
99 Nov 21 Comment Peter, great spotting for this image. I think the mono version is much more effective than the colour. For an abstract image I would have cropped it heavily. But that's just me. Nov 6th
99 Nov 21 Comment Gerard I just love this images and great idea to use a macro shot of the pod as the background.....It blends together so well. The use of mono works so well too. You have brought out all the textures and detail in the 3 pods which makes the image. My only critique is I would dull down the right top corner a bit. Its a bit too white and bright for my liking. Otherwise great creativity and fantastic image. Nov 6th
99 Nov 21 Comment Barbara you have done so well, the flower is sharp and the water drops add so much more interest. The amount of detail in the petals is fantastic. I often photograph flowers with focus stacking to get the greater depth of field. My Olympus has a setting built in so its easier. I haven't used Helicon Focus before. I must check it out.
