It's very beautiful. Like a deep breath, a postcard vision, more than successful. I wish I'd been in your shoes. Bravo for the hour of shooting... I keep telling the people in my club to get up early to take the photos and avoid taking them at noon...
The harmony of colors is seductive.
The mist wraps everything in a soft mantle without taking away from the strength of the landscape.

I immediately noticed this spread of shots, dividing the photo into three parts. It's always an interesting composition.
This cluster of plants in front of the building serves a dual purpose: as if to protect it, it hides the sight of this dilapidated farmhouse from us, as if out of modesty. But in addition, it acts as a showcase of color, as if to enhance its beauty.
Well done. |

Henriette, you've decided to render the image as if it were enveloped in the whiteness of the snow, and I understand your approach.
For my part, I also like the contrast of the original image. Here, I notice the snow hitting this landscape as if for the first time, even though the layer seems thick. But I agree, in the original, it's the rocks that draw the eye away from the snow...
It's difficult, but you wanted to say something precise and in particular your joy at seeing snow, so the snow takes precedence over the rocks.
Well done. |

A bald eagle wow.... If I hadn't seen the original image, I'd have thought you were in the mountains, coming face to face with this bird of prey...
I've been looking at your picture for two or three days now, and several times. That's why I bought TOPAZ, you're all talking about it, so now all you have to do is learn.
I love this proud bird and you've managed to erase the background without overdoing it. The feathers look great.
I'd never have known how to do that. But can it be done like this in a competition? When you read the PSA rules, I'm not sure.
It's an excellent piece of work, and thank you for paying tribute to this magnificent bird. |

It's a very pretty portrait. Everything contributes to its success: the dark background, the lighting...
But above all, you've captured her attention. She has a sustained expression that I like.
She really comes into her own.
Shooting her from a slight angle erases her shoulders and makes her look humble and almost frightened.
If you'd lowered the camera to her face, she might have had more stature and presence. You've no doubt rejected this solution with another photo. I respect your choice.
