Don't break the spell, your flower has been appearing in my dreams for several days now...
The most important thing is a beautiful picture. Bravo |

Henriette, your image is very beautiful.
I like black and white which are really contrasted as you have rendered it here. The sky is as striking as a cannonball. I feel like I'm witnessing a live explosion.
Very nice processing and I don't think color would have done the same thing.
Bravo for a try, it's a masterstroke. |

It's a very peaceful image. As far as I'm concerned, it's a dilapidated old manor house still proudly overlooking the sea. The history fascinates me, it's interesting. But this image needs no explanation to show a kind of nostalgia, like something abandoned that the sun embraces with its rays as if to tell it to calm down. I found your research into the mines and your ancestors interesting, but this image exists on its own without trying to put words to it.
Perhaps it's a bit harsh as I say, I wouldn't have wanted to miss your story, but the photo is beautiful in any case. |

Sorry, I thought I had given my opinion on this image and I don't see my comment. I must have missed a step. I too am drawn to roots. It allows a lot of rambling in my imagination. Trey's two proposals are interesting. In fact, nature is clinging to this rock to keep this tree alive. Resilience, no matter what, nature clings on and takes back its rights. We saw it during the lockdown. Even the birds were having a field day. |

A portrait as I like them. You can see the figure's eyes, watching the photographer with a slightly amused expression. The cropping option is interesting, but the face looks too light to me. Indeed, it's the wrinkles on his face that also give the character his expression.
I love this kind of image. Bravo |

A stunning and pleasing image. For me, what's important is the whiteness of the flower and the stamens in the middle. The black around it adds contrast and intrigue: did everything else burn? Is it nature's miracle that a flower grows back from the ashes? Of course, the stories unfold and unravel as you read.
I love this intriguing and original treatment. |
