30 Feb 26 Comment I too think black and white is a good choice forvthqs image. Feb 26th
30 Feb 26 Comment I kind of like the the edit, the colors are bright and pop. the softer edge detail makes the center stand out. Dorinda's edit works too for this. The one thing that caught my eye is the artifacting on the lower right peddle, a little more clone work would fix that. Feb 26th
30 Feb 26 Comment Nice one Mark, I do prefer this one over last months. Nice lighting on your subject and good interaction with the viewer. I like the 8x10 crop. Feb 26th
30 Feb 26 Comment Lovely scene, nice expression on the models face. I think it captures the ceremony nicely. I do agree that a slight crop to the top and bottom would pull it together. Feb 26th
30 Feb 26 Comment Like this one Dorinda, your edit works for me but I also agree with removing the building. There also is a bit of fringe along the upper side of the cone. Possibly left from a touch up layer. On a side note , I would love to see an image where the fountains shot from lower and closer. Making the Fountains prominent and eliminating the buildings all together. Feb 11th

30 Feb 26 Comment Sorry this is little drawn out but I hope this will clear things up.
The main subject is half submerged in the water, so if you draw a horizontal line splitting the stump into two equal halves one side is real and one is reflection. Another visually confusing point is where the stump is located in the body of water, it was a good 25 to 30 yards closer to me than far bank, this causes the shoreline not to line up with the stump. The image was flipped top top to bottom in post to make the subject appear to be levitating. All of the top two thirds of the background is reflection and the lower third is actually the real, this also makes the top half of the stump the reflection. Beside a little clone work to clean up the root structure nothing was added to the image.
