I like it, could be a little brighter. Im undecided about the retaining wall but it seems cramped, to thin, could you have left more of it in the frame? |

Nicely done Patrick. I like your choice a shutter speed, good mix of blur and detail in the waves. I like how the added light sets the time later in the evening. thanks for including the original, just for giggles I like to try editing them. |

Well done, the Caddo lake area has some really fun locations.
I like the addition of the boat. For me the color pallet suggest late afternoon and HOT.. my one suggestion would be to retouch the light area just above the tree, seem to be oddly brighter than the rest of the sky in that area. |

Nice image, I like the concept and the energy of the dutch angle. I need to read Patrick's linked article. I too feel that the subject could benefit from being a little brighter. in the attach image I applied a curves adjustment to bring up the mid-tones and mask to her. Also removed the strands of hair from her right arm ( I found myself trying to wipe my cat's fur off my screen LOL ) |

Good job Walter. I prefer your B&W edit over the original. I agree with Dorinda's suggestion. I would like to see this building from other angles.. |

Sounds like a fun place to photograph, lots of " oh that's cool" moments. The original was very dark but a useable image for sure. The highlights are good and the re-enactor has some nice shadowing. I like the feel of the B&W the sharpness works but is starting to a little too sharp in spots. The color image has a nice crop and the person has good color. I like the soft feel of color one. Nice save.
Just for fun, here is my take one your photo. I was looking for a period feel with the color and noise blur. |
