30 Jul 21 Comment Thanks everyone, I really enjoy seeing everybody's take on the photos. I have some other headlight type shots from other vehicles, I could see this being a little niche to explore LOL Jul 14th
30 Jul 21 Comment Cool photo,
Like Dorinda, I am a fan of the nature survives type of image. For me the headline reads "Ivy survives assault of urban artist". With that in mind I felt it was important to show spray painted stem in the lower right ( the scene of the crime ) and the victims progress at recovery. Cropped to bring the ivy to the center thirds lines and loose the red. Gaussian blur, exposure and saturation adjustment to the background. Exposure and a levels adjustment to the ivy.

30 Jul 21 Comment I have to agree with Leonid, IMO sometimes the environment plays a big part in why we find the subject interesting and if we remove to much we loose that. It goes from being a cool frog in my geraniums to just a pretty frog. Jul 8th
30 Jul 21 Comment Judy, I am curious about your choice of aperture and exposure. Jul 8th
30 Jul 21 Comment excellent image, thank you for sharing it with us. Jul 7th

30 Jul 21 Comment Nice photo Jon. Zinnias are one of my personal favorites and this is a nice one. I agree with Tom and Robert. IMO with the narrow focal plane of a 105 macro lens the only way to address their sharpness issue with the bloom would be to focus stack several images together. May I also suggest a little clean-up work on the dark background and the edges between the subject and the background

30 Jul 21 Comment I also love the competitor's expression, but found the background a little distracting.
I selectively lowered the exposure on the background by -1 stop and cropped the image to give her a little more room on the right side. didi a little work on the wall to remove the windows. There is a levels adjustment applied to the ride too.

30 Jul 21 Comment I really like this one Dorinda. You'll need to keep an eye out for it in the future.
