Interesting idea, I can see where that would lessen the interest on that side and work to keep the viewer focused on the shell. Thanks |

I just bought a Lume cube panel pro with that very thing in mind. |

Neat idea! Adding a soft glow with some highlighting to the opening along with the area just in front of it might give the appearance that it is being light from the inside of the shell. :-)
Thanks Judy

Nice photo, I love finding willing wild subjects. I agree with Jon that you probably have plenty of pixels to allow for a tighter crop on your subject. Although the big stone frog is kind of ironic and could make for an interesting image. |

I like the subject and that shade of pink with the yellow highlight in the tip of the bloom is nice. But the background is a bit distracting. What about a single bloom with a single color background. That's a neat idea to use colored glass and it comes in a rainbow of colors. |

Fun title and I really like the pop of the colors against the black background. The vein detail brought out by the backlight gives the plants an " oh that's cool " detail. I would like to see a little more space between the blooms, so there is a clear dividing line.
Great photo.. |
