Thank you, Chan. It was basically an experiment. I do not have a macro lens, but my friend said my 100-500 would work as a macro. Thank you all for your comments. |

Canan, I'm very inexperienced, and many times overwhelmed with the knowledge and skill the others in this group have. I feel many times like you do with the 225 page pdf!! LOL!! I wish I had only photography on my plate! |

I love your images, Jennifer, and I travel with you vicariously. I think the color of the gate is richer in the "mobbed" image, but the color of the water, along with the reflection of the gate in the water in the floating image is beautiful. Both images are interesting. I also wish you had gone out to the mobs so we could see the gate up close through your eyes. |

Your image is tack sharp, and the geometry of the image gives it interest with leading lines. I wonder about putting a lighter border around the edges to set off the black triangle on the lower right side? Just a thought, as that part of the image gets lost in the background of this platform. I tried to write this without reading other comments, and I see that Jennifer had the same thought. Interesting image. |

The chipmunk's eye and the chipmunk are in good focus, with the background nicely blurred. I agree about the blades of grass and darkening the background slightly. You did a good job from the original, but I like Jennifer's suggestion about removing the chipmunk and maybe changing the background. |

I play pickleball, and I'm sure my face looks like that most of the time-LOL!! The blur of the paddle and ball, as well as the knee, show the motion, while the face and head are focused on the ball. Great job. It is hard to get those action shots. |

I agree with all the comments so far, as I am late to the party. I also agree with Steven about the color version. I like all of them, but the color one is my favorite. As far as the background is concerned, I have recently been taking some photoshop tips/lessons from a pro photographer, and he told me to take many pictures of skies and things that could be used as backgrounds, like the out of focus bushes. So many wonderful tips. Thank you. |

Your bee is very sharp, and the colors of the bee and the flowers compliment each other so well. I do see the banding in the image that you posted in response to Steven. My thought was that it was color noise. I have seen that in some of my own images. |

Steven, To tell you the truth, I'm not sure if it actually does combine them in camera. All the other shots were in the camera, which I deleted, as I thought the first image in the grouping was the combined image. I need to read up on that to see if it really was a focus stacked image or just that the camera took all those images! Thank you. I had turned the camera and the roses around to get more contrast in the image. I was playing/learning! Thank you for the comments. |
