WOW! Thank you, Will! I had ordered a wide angle lens, but it didn't come in time. I hope that at some time we can attend a dark sky festival and try again. I will plan better ahead. I do recommend PhotoPills, because I was able to follow it over time and move my camera, so I got more images than I would have otherwise. Thank you again for all your suggestions. I will go back and try to edit them with what you suggested. Thank you. |

Thank you for your comments. I had looked up various ways to photograph the Milky Way, and I used the information I found to work toward this image. The exposure was 30 seconds. I tried shorter times as well as longer ones. If you really zoom in, you will see that the stars are not as pin point as I would have liked. The original site was to be by the Buffalo River in north Arkansas, but the weather cancelled that trip. My second choice was this one-we own some land in the country away from light pollution. Had we been at the Buffalo River, there would have been different foreground elements. I did use photo pills to see where the Milky Way would be at what time. That was a big help. I did move the camera around as the Milky Way moved with the earth's rotation. That was my first time using photo pills, too, but it was a big help. |

Jennifer, another winner! What a catch! The colors are so ViVi with the contrast of the impending storm and the solemnity of the wedding. I noticed the conch shell behind the groom. Did they blow in it after the ceremony, or was it just there? Beautiful! |

You achieved your goal. I'm drawn to the one in the center. Good sharp image. |

The image has so much color and texture. The image is sharp. You can really see the suckers. Not sure I would want to eat that, but Ido not experiment with my food!!!! |

It is an interesting image. The colors are vibrant in the candle juxtaposed to the muted colors of the orchids. I would, however, remove the molding in the top left. I go back and forth between removing it and leaving it, as the diagonal add to the geometry of the round candle. |

I think the more lighter background allows you to focus on the hummers. I appears you removed one. Also the edited hummers do not have the rich colors as in the original. However, your focus is very sharp. As one who hasn't gotten a good sharp picture, I salute you. |
