Jennifer, another wonderful image. I can't add to anything that everyone else has said. The rim lighting around the egret really does make the image. Beautiful capture.

I can't add anything to what Steven and Dale have said. The image is tack sharp with a nicely blurred background. The rough tree bark contrasts nicely with the blurred background, but his foot and talons almost blend in-I like that they are evident. Great job!

The image invokes a Monet watercolor. I am not good at the post processing so I defer to Steven and Will. I like it. |

Steven, you nailed it! The osprey is tack sharp, and his eye really catches mine. The fact that you caught him so beautifully in flight is wonderful, but to also have the nesting material be so sharp as well. The whole image is tack sharp. Perfect! The only thing that I keep going back to is the sky. Too bad there weren't a few light clouds in the background. |

I LOVE this scene! The way you changed the background really makes the scene what you are looking for-old. Too bad Lance is not in the group anymore. I think he would have loved it.
I agree with Dale about toning down the rose, although I'm not sure I would have noticed but that he mentioned it. I am learning so many things about photography and NOTICING! Thank you all. |

Thank you for your comments. I wish I could say that I set this scene up, but the wonderful folks at Garvan Gardens in Hot Springs, AR did it all. I did do some cropping and a small amount of editing in Lr, but luckily, I didn't have to do much. Thank you again. |
